When Marty drops down the pipe and lands inside the bin, one of the 'garbage' jumps out of the bin is a bottle of Banang. This has been talked about like everywhere when third episode came out. I'm surprised you missed it guys ._.

    How did I miss that?

I could be wrong, but I think Banang also appears in Poker Night during the elevator ride.

the fact that there actually is a powdered banana flavoured beverage in the world makes me alternately queasy and fascinated...

Bannana Milkshake via powder isn't so bad actually.

Though I like the chocolate variett more.

But the word "Banang" has such a mysterious alure.

The word makes me quiver every time I hear it.

It tastes like pudding. I like banana pudding tho so I'm cool with it.

Banana powder is an incredibly potent gut restorer. It strengthens the mucous lining in the epigastric region.

The first time I found that, I thought it was a rat! Next time I played I realized it was banang.

Still don't know how I missed it in BTTF, or all of the threads talking about it!! :D

Well it's like Tang, but Banana flavoured. Exactly the sort of stuff Bosco would stock :)

Banang is back baby! There's a bottle of Banang in The Walking Dead: Episode 3: Long Road Ahead in the cupholder of the RV. :D

It made me so happy when I saw that. One of the few things in the episode that did make me happy. :p

I love TTG games but BANANG made me crack up. I thought that was some of the best material of Sam and Max that I played

While nothing will beat the original Sam & Max Banang gag in Season Two, the Banang gags in The Devil's Playhouse are pretty funny too (complete with a Team Fortress 2 reference to boot). :D

I haven't played all the way through it yet to be honest. I liked Sam and Max, but my favorite series from TTG was Tales of Monkey Island. It got alot of people I know interested in the series . Which is a good thing. :)

Kenny from Walking Dead has Banang! bottle in his RV.

It was in episode 3 in the RV and jake ( i think ) said he wanted to put it in season 1. Do you think it will be in season 2?
  • edited February 2013
Most likely, from what I've heard its an inside joke that's mentioned in all their games. Don't quote me on that though.

It's in a lot of their games, but not all of them. It's a popular gag with the Telltale staff though, and season one already found a way to fit it in-universe as has been stated, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up in season two too.

To err on the side on non-sarcasm, it's that banana juice bottle in the RV in episode 3.

    Ah, I see. Thanks.

    I honestly had no idea.

It's a sad day when most people on the Telltale forums don't know Banang. :(

Don't force the banang, just let it happen.

I played a few Telltale games before TWD and i still never knew what it was before visiting the forum. I also happen to miss things in the background very easily(for example, i never notice typos in the subtitles even though there are a few) so maybe that's my fault there.

If you're curious on how banang originated and what games it has been in, the Sam & Max wiki has a page on banang that explains things pretty well.

Thank you, that would have been my next question.

Just 2 questions. First the S&M Wiki page says it had a cameo in BTTF The Game so where is it in that? 2.How do i find the alternate endings on the S&M Season 2 DVD?
  • edited February 2013
    1) I do believe the cameo was inside the car. A bottle of it appeared in the cup holder next to the gear stick, IIRC.

    2) There's alternate endings on the Season 2 DVD? Ooo, fun.

It's one of those blink and you'll miss it kind of things. It's in Citizen Brown. When Marty jumps in the recycle bin and falls into the confiscated goods intake bin, some of the goods pop up out of the bin. A banang bottle is one of them.
2.How do i find the alternate endings on the S&M Season 2 DVD?
They're hidden in the menu. Just go up and down on the selections and press left or right through the options until it highlights a section of the background. That will open up an easter egg.
