Looking for a script
I know it's kind of a long shot, but I don't really know where to start, so why not here?
I've been part of an amateur theater group (linked to my discipline's student society of my university) for a few years now. Every year we perform a full-length play. We're not stellar, but we like to think we're not that bad either. An interesting aspect is that we do everything ourselves: acting, directing, costumes, sets, lights, etc.
Next year, I'll be directing (co-directing actually, we always do this in pairs) our new play. I've done it before two years ago to great success, but a big problem then was finding a suitable play to perform. Over the years, we've done some great stuff, but almost every time we just got lucky getting our hands on a good script.
Obviously, I'd like to find a way to eliminate the luck factor. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Where should I start looking?

However, the rights are completely owned by Terry Pratchett and you will need to contact Stephen Briggs (via www.stephenbriggs.com) for the rights to perform it, and royalties have to be paid to them. (The money generally goes to charity anyway). I don't receive any money.
Send me a PM if you're interested in seeing my script.
Alternately, Briggs has published many of his Discworld scripts, and you can easily purchase those and perform them with similar royalty costs. Check out amazon.co.uk to purchase his scripts.
What I was trying to ask is if you know a good website or message board from a publisher or internet amateur theater community to browse through various existing scripts. I'm sure they exist, but I can't find them.
Thanks for the sugfestions though, you are the best

I assume you'll have to pay, but i'm sure that there is a wide range of plays to choose from.
An epic comedy musical opera spanning five acts!
