    Well, thanks for the information.

*chants....* Native Port Native Port Native Port Native Port *breath* Native Port Native Port Native Port Native POOOOORT!*

    Take that Ballmer! *throws chair*

FWIW, with the most awesome TTG build system and presumably already exporting compatible data for the Mac OpenGL port (and wasn't the PS3 supposed to use OpenGL ES?) I can only hope we'll see this sooner than a Steam Linux client!

I like your relaxed attitude, rather untypical for a Linux user.

Can you blame us? We haven't had all that much game support and we've been exposed to a greater OS for so long and have had to stoop to using Windows just for the games we love. It's hard to stay relaxed, especially when there's not a whole lot of reason why some games can't be ported to Linux (I'm not saying TTG's games are one such example).

If you want to drive a car, then you also should buy one instead of a bicycle and moaning afterwards that you can't use it like a car.

On the bright side the time is working for you and there probably will be more games for Linux in the future.

We don't want to drive a car, but many of us still feel forced to buy one, even though we think that our tanks handle way better than the car. It's just that we aren't able to drive certain roads too easily.

Hey, i didn't write tank, evil kernel patches...

Well, that's not really a fair analogy. Linux is not a bike. It's more like a diesel engine or electric car compared to conventional cars.

Depends on your field of application but don't get me wrong, i'm fine with that some people like it. It's just not my #1.

Well we're talking about games here. And Linux is perfectly capable of playing games perfectly well there just isn't enough support for it (not enough gas stations that support diesel? Does that work?).

I guess we already discussed this in this thread. ;O)

What i really don't understand is why would you like NOT to be ported on linux (since it dont affect you cause you are a win/mac user).

People are wandering about porting ToMI under linux but who would like to see the penguin in Tales of Monkey Island ?

Think about it. A Linux pirate with a Firefox on its shoulder firing at some Windows-flagged ships under the Sun Microsystems. That's the spirit.

And the game would be ported into linux systems :)

Sorry for my bad accent, cause I'm French.

The obvious answer is: Just because you want it so much! :O)

Nah, i don't mind if magically there pops up a Linux version but i do care if this would draw away ressources from enhancing the already existing platforms as those are the ones i use. The time is working for a Linux version.

I know it sucks, but this was my first attempt

Hm, I wonder if we will eventually geta response by some Telltale people.

We got a response of sorts here:

I know he left Telltale about a month ago, but if that represents Telltale's view on the matter, I don't think we can expect linux ports anytime soon. :(

It was nice of him to make such a drastic generalisation, though.

I think especially we are interested in those.
