Tales from the Crypt

I think it would be epic win beyond words if Telltale picked up the rights to make an episodic Tales from the Crypt game.

Or even if they just made a Creepshow game, or even if they just made an original unlicensed horror anthology game.

Me likey horror anthologies.

    An episodic, story-driven video game tribute to EC comics? I'd buy that for dollar, you betcha!

    I watch this on my PS3. I think it would be extremely challenging to do this justice though. Seeing how the games don't feature real characters, to be able to make Tales from the Crypt games quickly...well, they wouldn't be able to reuse models like they do for their other games.

    EC is as much comedy, or at least, "grotesque fun," as it is horror. The warped, ironic sense of humor characteristic of its breed would be right up Telltale's alley, especially with their Sam & Max pedigree.

    The Cryptkeeper fills basically the same role that the narrator does in TDP (so far), and he always makes twisted jokes and puns. I always loved the endings of Tales from the Crypt stories.

    That would be awesome, and guess what Universal owns the rights to Tales From The Crypt so it is possible.

    The possibilities this would open would be awesome. It could open a different idea on episodic gaming. No two titles would have to connect other than the opening with the Crypt Keeper. I'm fully behind the idea and would probably buy that game.

    Oh my... a 'Tales from the Crypt' Telltale series. Now that's just a hit waiting to happen. What a great idea.

    Now that I've thought of the possibility, I'll be sad if it never happens. :(
