I'm so tired...

edited June 2010 in General Chat
I only got about one hour of sleep last night, I'm so tired but I want to watch some commentaries on my ToMI dvd that just showed up... But I'm so tired, don't wanna fall asleep with dvd spinning in this crummy over-heating laptop. :(

Bleh....

For future reference, "cool story bro" is Internet slang for "I don't care about your anecdote".

I'm tired too, but I got enough sleep. I'm just always tired.

    SWP has won this thread.

Given the direction this thread has taken, I'd say we're all losers.

Hey, don't you hate it when you've slept for 12 hours straight, and then you don't feel like getting up so you sleep for 8 more hours?

    On IRC, centralchat.net, #telltale.

I don't get IRC. In the sense that I won't pay for a client ... thing, and you people get enough of me as it is. Also, care of reddit,

Aww that's sweet, best friends for life. What better thing is there in the world? :)

And on a side note, I am tired my self but that is because I go to bed late and get up early, so all my fault really. :p

You can go to http://centralchat.net/chat, type your nickname on the nickname text box, type #telltale on Channels and click enter. That way you don't have to pay for a client.

    Anyway, cool story bro.

Avistew mentions X-Chat is free but only on Linux. For Windows free X-Chat is at Silverex which is a free build of X-Chat.

I have windows but x-chat is free for me too.

Edit: Oh wait, maybe I use that "other" version, without realizing it.

I don't do IRC either (though it's because I dislike "realtime" chats in general), but one of the oldest Firefox add-ons is an IRC client... just saying...

Why is it so important for me to have an IRC client? Seriously folks, I'm not that interesting! You should be trying to recruit puzzlebox, she goes camping with gorillas and travels all over the world and stuff! Way cooler than I am!

I don't get why anyone would use anything but irssi for Linux.

Well I had never heard of irssi before, and X-Chat was already installed... I think. How is irssi better, and do you need to know how to use the terminal and stuff to get/use it?

I have to refer you all to Futurama S02E04. Sorry I couldn't find a clip *anywhere*!

Slurms: "I'm so tired of partying. So very tired. I'll save you the only way I know how... by partying!"

    Now go! Go...

irssi is what I use, since I have a server up in London that's on permanently so I run irssi and have a 24/7 connection to IRC.

irssi is command line, though. No graphics whatsoever.

X-Chat didn't come with my Linux version, but neither did irssi. I like it because it's very light-weight, it's easy to add functionality with perl scripts and it supports tab completion, which makes it very natural to use for anyone used to using a terminal. You can get it easily with Synaptic if you're not comfortable with apt-get though.

Gawd can't a guy just have a throw-away thread now and then? Or does every single post made have to be an epic attempt at entertaining the masses?

I'm really at the end of my rope with a lot of you people. I hate to sound like a ranting jerk, but really.

All you people who said 'cool story bro' and actually meant it, do you actually think I didn't know that was a lame throw-away post to begin with?

I've been using the internet just as long as all you other folks so just quit it already.

I know that, sheesh. *rolls eyes* Serisously, how could you not tell that 'yeah I know, right' was sarcastic???

    Sorry.

I don't think I clutter up the forums with stupid threads though. If anything, people constantly de-railing threads is cluttering up the forums with stupid nonsense, something I personally don't take part in.

That's why I posted this in General Chat and not the ToMI forum, because I didn't want to clutter up that forum with a random chat thread.

And I don't mind if people comment on how a post of mine is stupid or not, but I don't see why they have to be rude or elitist about it.
