Actually I've been stateside since early April. I might even settle down in California semi-permanently since my brother's being sent to get his PhD next year. Just want to figure some more stuff out before I commit to anything. (I've been a nomad for six years now; I'm ready to settle down a bit, to be honest.)

Strawberry blond is a term for reddish-blond hair. They aren't redheads, but they don't have "yellow" hair either. And there's a stereotype that "ginger" is an ugly hair color, especially in Britain. I'm just joking that he does have slightly reddish hair, but it's a "nice" shade so you and puzzlebox don't have to worry.
