Wait, are you saying there was a point to the original post? Because if so, I must say I am against the wanton slaying of woodchucks, by foot or otherwise

Oh my yes, there was. Now let us never speak of it again.

Someone's been....nah I won't give it away. But I know exactly what this topic is all about. :D and it makes me soooo happy.

:) I'm glad someone got what I was talking about ... And yes, I'm really happy about it too!

So... There will be no testing of woodchuck personalities and relating them to their wood chucking abilities?

As it is right now, and I really hate to break it to you but someone has to... woodchucks don't chuck wood.

But... But... "A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood!"

Sir, you need evidence to back up such a claim! Might I ask, have you ever seen a Woodchuck not chucking wood?

Er, yes, I have :p And lots of people have. Woodchucks are groundhogs, they even film them not chucking wood every year. Or hogging ground, for that matter.

Oh. For some reason I always thought woodchucks didn't really exist.

Who said this forum wasn't educational? ;)

    Anyway.

This still doesn't answer the real questions here:

    - How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck would chuck wood?
    - Who the hell killed a woodchuck with their bare feet?

I hate to interject so far into the thread, but why has nobody picked up on the OP's Bear feet? That sounds awesome. I wish I had Bear feet.

Fealiks throws in a picture of a Gorilla to avoid explaining the joke!

Hate to break up the fascinating discussion, but it is just a line from the new episodes of Futurama. It makes ... actually no, it doesn't make much more sense in context.
The correct answer to the question is Zapp Brannigan by the way.
  • edited June 2010
Well Zapp Brannigan doesn't have Bear feet. Zapp Brannigan doesn't have Bear feet at all.

I feel cheated and lied to :(

Aww, someone ruined the fun :)

    Hee hee.

I just thought the Woodchuck reference was so awesome I had to write about it somewhere. On the other hand I didn't want to spoil the joke for anyone who hadn't seen it.

For this to make any sense, watch Comedy Central tonight at 10pm / 9c. Hypnotoad demands it!

    Sorry :(

On the other hand, the joke is so bizarre that it's almost impossible to spoil it. Anyway, do what serializer says and watch the new episodes. They are awesome, especially the 2nd one (where this silly joke comes from).

That's ok, you were only answering my question after all :)

I guess that means you get a prize. Hmm ... I suppose I could part with one of these Doomsday devices :D

You're Arnold Swarzenneggar, the pahty poopah.

Yay for another obscure reference to a funny comedy.

People who didn't know what a woodchuck was shouldn't feel bad. I just realised that the verb "to chuck" actually means "to throw".

    Let's feel embarrassed together!

It also means to vomit! And Woodchucks probably gnaw on wood, as many small, furry creatures do, to keep their teeth from growing too long.

So...maybe woodchucks do chuck wood every once in awhile. This is an astounding discovery!:D

I don't know why, but I thought a woodchuck was a colloquial term for a plane (as in the carpenter's tool)... probably because it came up in the carpenter's shop in Monkey Island and I've never really heard it anywhere else.

Just out of interest, what actual time is that? It confused the hell out of me when i was in the US on Holiday. Is it the same as saying 9-10pm? Or is it something to do with timezones?

It means 10pm in eastern America, which is 9pm in the central America timezone.

I don't know why I know this, I've never even been there!

This map shows the timezones quite clearly:
    http://www.worldtimezone.com/

As you can see, America incorporates quite a number of timezones.
