    Luigi rules!

I recently started playing Paper Mario on Nintendo 64 and wow... It's good! Other than that, I've been staying away from consoles for a long time, so I don't know much about Mario Kart or Galaxy.
Man, I wish I still had my Famicom, because emulators are fun, but nothing beats shooting ducks and wild gunmen with the Zapper.

    And yes, Luigi rules!

Don't know much about Mario Kart cuz you've been away from consoles since N64? Mario Kart first appeared on the SNES!

    I agree!

Also Paper Mario is one of my favorite games of all time. I really enjoyed the character writing there.

I really thought Super Mario Galaxy 2 had alot of potential and was better than the first! I they announced a third game, i would think thy would be taking it to far. The first two were awesome, but we don't want the same repetitive mission every super mario galaxy we play. But sure, there could be a whole new variety of planets, but i think it should stay with the first two games!

You know Nintendo. They're all about changing things up and trying something different. They won't wear out Mario Galaxy. Mario has been around for a while now and almost all of the Nintendo-console Mario games are great. (Luigi's Mansion and Mario is Missing don't count.)

I like Mario, it is the memories of my childhood

I have never played a mario game. I need to be sure I'll like a game before I spend the money, and Nintendo's games based on Mario are always the higher prices. Maybe now Galaxy 2 has been released I might be able to fnd Galaxy 1 slightly cheaper and try it.

    *slaps* Luigi's mansion was awesome!

You know, thinking about mario and sonic at the olympic games series, and how sega made it. I am not so sure if I trust Sega with nintendo characters.

Hell, I don't trust them with SEGA characters!

Hell, I don't trust them with SEGA characters!

Name one game where nintendo used sega characters.

EDIT: Apart from SSBB because that was simply one character, and more like a side note. Nowhere near Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

What? NEVER PLAYED A MARIO GAME!!!! You go get on wii virtual console and play ALL of them NOW!

P.S I think mario golf for the gamecube was set to screw with my mind to lose.

Me and my cousin are playing it and we play completly the same we tied all the way up to the 18th hole.
Then my cousin gets a HOLE IN ONE! So i had to get a hole in one to tie here. So the game goes MISS AND LOSE dun dun dun dun(basicly the underground theme only louder)

I'm one of those rare few who liked Luigi's Mansion D:
Also Galaxy 2 was fantastic, I'm currently stuck on the Stone Cyclone Galaxy, that level really tests my timing, but it's still a great game! Also I'm one of those weird people who likes rolling ball levels!

If you have a gamecube, stop by GameStop and get some used Mario games then :D that's what I do these days since I don't have a Wii.

Yep. I loved Sega through the Dreamcast, and the Dreamcast is still my favorite console of all time. But the company has ruined Sonic since then, and they've ignored or made mediocre to terrible iterations of their other popular franchises. The company really has no reason to continue existing anymore.

Also, Nintendo wouldn't do Sega games justice either. The feel of a Nintendo game is not the feel of a Sega game, they wouldn't do it right. Maybe a subsidiary like Retro could, though.

Gamecube Mario games? What are you trying to do, make them hate Mario games?

And Gamestop? What are you trying to do, make them hate buying video games?

I liked luigis mansion ive replayed it at least 5 times.
Also beaten galaxy 2 all the way to one star it is a daredevil, no checkpoint run of the hardest levels in game.

    Best posts in the topic.

    :( I am ashamed.

I've thought about the virtual console, as it seems the best way to introduce myself to the Mario world, but there are loads on there. Which is regarded as the best? I have a few wii points to spare.

Personally I'd either go for 1 or 3. The first one is a classic and should be played by everyone. 3 is my favourite of the entire series, just feels like they got everything right for that one.

Yoshi is the best thing to come out of Mario.

Edit: The game, not the person.

Well he does have fury you finkrat you.

Saying that, the Mario and Luigi RPG games on the Game Boys (Advance and DS) are very good. The writing is of high quality and the jokes great, especially the ones that poke fun at the Mario franchise.

The Paper Mario RPGs are also pretty good.

Actually, it's very hard for Mario to be in a game that isn't bad, unless that game is Mario is Missing. That was the game that invented Weegee, Luigi's evil.. umm.. something...

You mean Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3 and Mario 64. Not Mario Bros.

Did anyone watch any of the Mario Marathon? It was pretty great and made money for a great cause.

This is my favorite Mario-related thing of all time. RIP, Capt. Lou. :(

Also, I find it funny that, in the entire run of the show, nobody thought to fix the end credit sequence where he clearly stumbles right before the fadeout. Production values! :D
