I traded a boxed copy of System Shock 2 for a boxed complete copy of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Complete with mouse pad, and all the inserts. Maybe not super rare, but cool nonetheless.
My brother has a boxed copy of Grim Fandango signed by Tim Schafer, which is pretty cool.
Eh, maybe I'm full of crap and it's not rare at all.
I looked it up on amazon and there were some copies for $3.99 and others for $99.99 so I suppose it could go either way. It probably depends on the format and condition.
Still, that was a fun game. I used to play it for hours.
That's funny about TM2 though. Every copy I've seen sells for $2 with it's manual and case in good condition. The TM franchies seems to have lost it's collector's value or something due to the reasons I more then likely stated. Hell, I found Twisted Metal Small Brawl new for $6. Most I've seen at New in origal sony shrink wrapping are like $20.
And I just bought TM1 in it's orignal Long Box with everything included for 1.25+4 shipping.
And yeah sorry about that, I'm a bit weird with wording and such. I should work on wording my thoughts better but I often respond to forums when I'm tired.
Also my Fiance just bought Brave Fencer Musashi in near perfect condition case, manual, both discs[yes the FF8 demo] are all in perfect condition for $15. I was surprised to it was such good condition. Same with Persona 2, which also shocked me. As that game goes for in bad condition at like 70-90 on average.
The PS1 versions are not rare at all, they were some of the best selling PS1 games of all time. The PC version of two on the other hand, was not marketed very well, and very little copies sold, many of the ones that didn't sell were lost or destroyed and there has never been another PC Twisted Metal game, making it the holy grail for some PC collectors. Some people attempt to cash in on this. I saw one a few days ago that had a fake cover on it listing it as a real version. He had 10 available, an obvious red flag.
I've got Discworld 2, not sure if that's rare. No box which would obviously reduce it's value somewhat but it does have a bonus audio CD with the song 'That's Death' on it.

Even PC versions I've seen go for cheap.
Oh I now got Brave Fencer Musashi with the FF8 demo both in Mint condition along with the case an manual in mint aswell. I also got Persona 2 case is in decent (at best) condition and the discs are in mint.
It's not mine, but I think my brother has a copy of Ripley's Believe It or Not: The Riddle of Master Lu. The studio that put that one out quickly went under.
They made a Ripley's Believe it or Not game. It's a weird one: a point-and-click adventure in which Robert Ripley (real-life founder of the franchise) is portrayed as a sort of Indiana Jones-like cartoonist/adventurer.

It's good! Now if only DOSbox wouldn't lock the game up right as the ending sequence started...

I also own Tomba! 2. While it's not as rare as Tomba! it's apparently still quite rare.

I loved that game, even though I only got the demo.

Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller was a really good but pretty unknown adventure game.
I own most of the old SSI Goldbox games, which I gather are pretty rare these days.
Iv'e seen it going for over $50 on eBay.
