Something weird...

I have recently noticed a weird thing on the forums. Lots of new users seem to have "adsigs". I have seen links to casinos, online dating, and sports betting sites. Their posts look sloppy. I'm not talking about stuff like Highway's "Cultural Zest" sig, these users seem very suspicious. Can someone at Telltale look into this?

That is user Ray-The-Sun's signature. That was posted in the thread for no apperent reason. Also, Loga's sig has links to "Online Bookmakers" and " Online Sports Betting."

    These are things known as "Spambots".

    Just report them when you see them. As I have already done with afore-mentioned when I saw it...

    Oh. I better start reporting every spambot I see. Also, is "spambot" the general term? I have seen some actual(although sloppy) responses by these "bots"(but they still have the ad filled sigs).

    Just ignore siebert.

    But yeah, spambots are programmed to just sprout some stuff connected to the thread, mostly stolen from posts, titles (like the love one) or, apparently, sigs.

    Sometimes I wonder if spambots aren't just people with Wernicke’s aphasia who couldn't find any other work than selling porn. It's kind of a sad thought.

    Oh huh. I hadn't even noticed it. I've started to blank out but the absolute worst in annoying signatures. Sadly for The Highway, his is only MODERATELY obnoxious compared to some of the worst.

    Throw in some dancing smilies and some underlined and bold text and we'll talk.

    On a forum I used to visit, there were dozens of users with signatures that were just quotes from other users saying "[username] has a valid point" and "I agree with [username], he's so cool".

    Yeah, when your signature is 10 times bigger than the majority of your posts, you have a problem.
