Ever have any Adventure game puzzles in your daily life?

So the vending machine broke where I work today, or at least the part that takes dollar bills jammed and all I had were ones and fives

I immediately went to the vending machine in the next room with all the chips and used a dollar to get 4 quarters from it and buy my soda

I had a co-worker laugh and say I could have just asked for change, I smiled when i realized that I had indeed picked a convoluted solution to the problem and realized it was because of the monkey island finale (the grog machine :D )

It was worth it though to see several others get up and repeat what I did so they could get drinks as well

Anyone else ever experience a real life adventure-game-puzzle like that before?

When I was small I used to tie string to door handles and wrap it round chair legs and stuff about a thousand times over and use it as a convuluted way of opening the door.

After I broke my 3rd stool they took the string away...

I'm currently pixel-hunting my room for my box of picks so I can combine them with the guitar. :\ I swear, I'm going to start fingerpicking from now on... those things are more trouble than they're worth.

Well I did utter a few things today that were adventure worthy. " I'm not picking that up I don't know where it's been!" " No I can't use that with that, it would mess it up."

Two of my headphones of my cellphone (it has an MP3 player and I don't have an iPod or a seperate MP3 player) started not to work properly at the same time, but problems are caused in different parts. I ended up combining my inventory items and it works pretty rad now 8D

I once constructed a sheath for my knife out of a pleather vest, some string and a few strategically placed LEGOS. It worked great!

I did that with a set of headphones with a bad cable and a cordless phone who's earpiece stopped working!

When I was in Algebra class in school when I was a kid, one of the other kids came up to me and said "You make me want to puke," to which I immediately responded without hesitation "You make me think somebody already did." The whole class cracked up laughing as he walked away with a scowl, and I have since recalled to more than one person (including my wife) how that's one more reason why Monkey Island is fricken awesome.

The Dunlop corp make plectrums out of a solidifying liquid that evaporate after a fortnight of heat from your fingers. This is why you always lose your picks

I constantly make irreverent comments about things to myself, but let me think of a real example.

I decided I wanted to play the PS1 spiderman game on what if mode.
    1. Look for game, game dosen't work.
    2. Download game for Mac, same game and I already own it. Works for a few minutes on intel Mac
3 wait for a while like I do when real adventure games frustrate me.
    4. Download game for Mac on PowerPC that fixes it.

but the puzzle is not yet over. The PowerPC Mac is now dead and I am out of luck on the Spiderman thing.

Now I am going to build my own PC tower for gaming (eventually) and perhaps maybe I can get it to work, if not it was a puzzle that was discarded for the official release of my life
