I'm going to have to buy a 3DS.
I know what you mean all too well.
Why does this sound familiar?
Better Layton never.
*rimshot*
*checks again*
*rubs eyes*
*stares for 5 minutes*
This just seems completely random!
Man, it's getting harder and harder to support my gaming habit.
I have never played a phoenix wright, or a proffesor layton game.
I am looking into proffesor layton and now it is mainly a DS series with plenty of puzzles, like puzzle agent.
So what is Phoenix Wright. I know it is about the attorny, and created this meme. And that is really it so what consoles are they on and whats the gameplay.
And yes Im too lazy to research(Hey I did my research on Layton)
The Ace Attorney series could be best described as a text adventure game about lawyers. It is on the DS(it's home, with 5 games currently, and a 6th on the way), WiiWare(the first 3 games) and iPhone/iPod Touch(the first game only).
*claws at the computer* DO WANT. DO WAAAANTTTTTTTT-Tuh-tuh-tuh!!!!
Getting tweets about this in the middle of the suck that is Math class made my day forever. And it just looks sfasgergaergaeuigh awesome.
One has to wonder why Layton is the prosecutor, or at least appears to be.
And I'm going to guess that, like Edgeworth, Layton is being a prosecutor in order to search for the truth. And by "search for the truth" I mean "solve a billion puzzles."

I startled the class with a very high pitch squeal. I regret nothing.
You have to leave comment right there--->http://www.capcom-unity.com/jgonzo/blog/2010/10/19/professor_layton_vs_ace_attorney_announced_for_japan?pg=2 if you want that they release it outside Japan.
You might be on to something there. Do want!
That was exactly my reaction, although I was browsing the net at home. For clarification: I am a grown man in his thirties, but I still squealed like a Japanese schoolgirl in a Hello Kitty factory.
What I'm trying to say, I found the Layton games OK, but my love here in the Ace Attorney games, so up to now, the balance of this feels skewed to the Layton crowed with a little mention for the AA people.
If they don't release this out of Japan they're stupid. Layton and Wright are amongst the most popular games on the DS. Seems silly not to.
Also, *obligatory school-girl squeal*
I've never played Professor Layton. It's high time I played one with Wright and I am not a huge puzzle game man but I should check out Layton.
so maybe I can get the best of both worlds here.
Haahaa, actually, thats a criminal offense in Japan. And no, I'm not joking. Gah, I wish I was.
But I can make some videos of me and my friends playing it, if you want to see some footage. It is supposed to be out next spring over here, and a 3DS launch title.
The first Phoenix wright of Professor Layton?
Nope. There's a big red block shaded out on the back of all Japanese games made after 2008~9 that says the export and/or sale of DS games are illegal. Plus, these games WON'T work on a non-Japanese DS (unless you are in possession of the original grey one) anyway. They're region locked (the original grey DSs are region free, but not the DSis or DSiXLs).
Basically, if you have a DS old enough that it can use Wi-Fi but doesn't have an internet browser, you can play the games from any world DS. If you don't, and your DS is not Japanese, you're SOL.
Older DS games that lack this red mark are fair game though and WILL work on any DS anywhere, like the original Phoenix Wright remakes (is that an oxymoron?) and Layton games. If you want 'em, or stuff they don't import like Jump Ultimate Stars or Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (the precursor game to Elite Beat Agents), give me a shout and I'll see what I can do.
