Just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends in a few hours

I would like to remind you across the U.S. that Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 AM tomorrow morning. That means that we set our clocks back one hour! Just a friendly reminder. :)

And mine is still not set. It does actually help me get up for school, when I first look at my clock and see that I'm late, panicking and getting out of bed, putting something on me WHILE having a breakfast in front of my fridge... Just to realize that I'm not actually late.

I just spent an hour taking my dog to the emergency vet for a breathing condition hilariously known as a "reverse sneeze." The fact that we get an extra hour tonight makes the whole experience a little less awful.

EDIT: Also, the forum is telling me that I posted *before* the previous two posts, even though my post shows up after chronologically. Good times.

I never knew the U.S did the whole daylight saving hours thing. I thought it was just us U.K peeps. Learn something new every day...

yeah but a majority of people think it's a dumb idea. People say it's for Farmers, but farmers hate it.

I've never really liked the idea too much either. I don't mind getting an extra hour of sleep, but it annoys me that they take an hour away in summer! :p

Australia also has daylight savings. In some states, but not others... even more confusing for you :)

We went into summer time four weeks ago...

It's pretty much the same over here. In fact statistics show that if the timings didn't change, 100 lives would be saved each year (more commuting in dark hours leads to more car accidents etc). The only reason the UK hasn't swapped to a single timing system is because if we did, we would have to be on central European Time (/British Summer Time), instead of the historic GMT.

Daylight Savings is the most wonderful concept for those of us with children. They can play outside later in the evenings, and it's darker in the mornings so they're less likely to wake up at 6am and disrupt the rest of the household.

Fell back a couple weeks ago. Thank God my computer clock informed me I needed to do so here in the U.K.

But what about in the mornings when they are walking to school? Or in the winter, when they are walking home? Here at least, the change has made my commutes alot darker.

You know, these forums are set to "Automatically detect DST", so that's a good sign. :)
