Calling All Artists & 'Shoppers: GOG Poster Contest

edited November 2010 in General Chat
I just saw on GOG (GoodOldGames.com) that they're holding a little contest which requires participants to create a poster that is a blend of a favourite movie and a Ubisoft game. I may not have explained that very well, which is why I provided a link (up there ^) for you to click on, so that you may read the details for yourself.

I decided just to let you all know, because I know for a fact that we have some great artistic and creative talent here on the TTG forums. So get cracking, and win yourself a free good old game :)!

I would.... but I pretty much already own all the games I would want to from their catalog.

Same for me. Also, I already created Ubisoft art this year, and I'm pretty sure that Ubisoft's PC customers... well, are not exactly entitled to this kind of loyalty any more.

    Great contest, though!! ;)

I'm actually working on something for this. I'll post when I have it submitted.

Entries are coming along now. Major focus on Far Cry mashups.

I'm having trouble with the final visual touches on my poster, really integrating a large object with a painting. I've tried various blurs and adding different noise settings, but it just doesn't look right. I have a Chessmaster 9000 concept. =P

You could try making the image slightly transparent over an image of some canvas... then you can fix the colors after.... but first go in an paint in some "brush strokes"

Haha, I'm terrible at this. This project actually has had me learning Clonestamp as I go, which is a surefire way to make this thing look terrible I know.

Clonestamp is your friend if used right.
