I came to say hi

oh god i haven't been here in a looooooong timi got a note in my dA inbox telling me i had a PM, so here i am... thought of saying hi. haven't been here because... to e honest, i was terrified of coming back.

reason:
i got a few voice acting parts. i was waiting to finish all of them, then send them out on the same day. i was almost done recording the last few, it would have taken one more day, but my computer got a virus.

a reeeeeeally nasty virus.

my dad suggested wiping it, but I didn't want to lose all my work. I told him instead to save the hard drive and see if he could find a new one. so here i a with my new hard drive.

i wasn't allowed to take anything off the other hard drive, so i have zero access to my old files.

i'd love to record them again, but i re-recorded several times until i got it perfect... i don't know if i can ever get those lines perfectly again.

if any of the people who asked me before are here, i'm reeeeeeeally sorry. i feel horrible and i didn't want to come back because i knew people would hate me. :CCCCC

ANYWAY, CAME TO SAY HI.

IT'S BEEN A LOOOOONG TIME.

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?

... i think we can put our differences behind us. for science. you monster.

See if you can get a friend with Linux (which should hopefully be immune to whatever it is) to mount the drive and get your data files (and only your data files) off of it. That's assuming the virus wasn't so nasty that it encrypted the whole thing.

You could also reinstall the hard drive (completely removing the new one for the moment) and booting off a CD of Knoppix or the like, to see if that gets you anywhere.

Or just gargle and speak it all again....
