Since I can't prioritize at all, I submit my wish list in its current state:

    DSC00033.jpg

Crap, I never took Epic Mickey off there when I got it. Also, exactly how sleep deprived was I when I wrote Dead or Alive on there?

Then there's Shantae. That game's Earthbound expensive, so that's not happening. And by "Professor Layton" and "Phoenix Wright", I mean the entire series, and that "(vs.)" in between also makes that the only 3DS game I've bothered to write down.

How the hell am I able to read that? It's messy, (no offense - I can't write on whiteboards myself, being a left-hander), but I'm still able to somehow decipher the scribbles that make up "Sonic Unleashed".
    _______________________________________________

Anyway, I'm going to add more to my list of games I want, seeing as how I thought of more that I would like to see/play besides BG&E2 and MI6.

    Released Games
    'Runaway: A Twist of Fate'
    The 'Deathspank's
    'Brutal Legend'
    'Dragon Age'
    'Star Wars: The Force Unleashed'

    Long Released Games
    The 'Quest for Glory's
    The 'Discworld' games
    Fallout 1&2 (I've no interest in 3)
    'Duke Nukem: Manhatten Project'

    Announced Games
    'Jurassic Park'
    'Beyond Good & Evil II'
    'Torchlight 2'
    'Diablo III'

    Unannounced Games
    Monkey Island 6
    'Star Wars: Jedi Knight III'
'Curse of Monkey Island: Special Edition' (with Bill Tiller doing the artwork)
Knights of the Old Republic 3

    Canceled Games
    'Sam & Max: Freelance Police'
'Sam & Max: Plunge Through Space'
    'Full Throttle: Payback'
    'Insecticide - Part 2'

Oh, I know, my handwriting is atrocious. You can probably read most of it because I actually took my whiteboard off the wall, took off all the magnets, erased the whole thing, sprayed it down and cleaned it, rewrote it from a picture I had taken of it, and then put it back up on the wall. Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors were written afterward.

    1. An original copy of Monkey Island 2.
    2. An original copy of Monkey Island 1.
    3. An original copy of Grim Fandango.
    4. An original copy of Shadow of the Comet.
    5. An original copy of Broken Sword 1, as I have one of 2.

Since I can't prioritize at all, I submit my wish list in its current state:
Metroid II? for old school GameBoy?

    I have that.

    hpim0885z.jpg

I have a GameCube with a GameBoy Player, so I keep my GameBoy games with my console stuff. Though the last (read: only) GameBoy I actually owned was the original GameBoy, I do have a couple of GBA games which I bought to play on my GCN (Zelda:Minish Cap, Metroid:Zero Mission.)

    Hmmm...

    Okamiden
    The Layton/Phoenix crossover
    Miles Edgeworth Investigations 2
You Don't Know Jack (DS version)
    Pokemon Black
    Jurassic Park
It's funny... I can just go downtown and get two of the games off my list, but they're regionlocked and I have an American DS.

    Ace Combat Zero for PS2
    DeathSpank for PC
    Jurassic Park for PC
    Civilization V for PC
    StarCraft II for PC

    The list so far:
-All three of Professor Laytons (Specter's Flute, Mask of Miracles, and the PW Crossover)
    -Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
    -Portal 2
    -Jurassic Park
-Tales of Monkey Island 2 (But that's wishful dreaming...)

There's probably more games that I want but can't remember now...

I WANT. It's the only Metroid game I don't have.

But as much as I want it, I would much rather have a Zero Mission style remake of it. I tried playing it on an emulator once and THAT GAME NEEDS A DAMN MAP. Still, I'll go back to it eventually.

    Okamiden

    This.
An original copy of Monkey Island 1.

    This.
    Portal 2

    And this.

These are my main three. I'm not going to bother saying about unannounced games as my imagination would have no limit.

The DS is the only system that's not region locked, I looked into this when I was thinking about buying Golden Sun: Dark Dawn here in York, but wasn't sure if it'd run.

    On topic...

Old (or just released in general) Games I'd like to own:

    - Persona 2: Innocent Sin (Seriously ATLUS, you've re-made 1 and re-released P3 3 times now, can't this finally get a Stateside release?!)
    - Grim Fandango (A friend took off with my copy ( ;_; ) )
    - Last Window: The Secret of Cape West
    - Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - Director's cut
    - Skies of Arcadia
    - Koudelka
    - Assassin's Creed 2: Brotherhood
    - Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals
    - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
    - Godhand
Announced Games I'd like to own:

    - Okamiden
    - Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
    - Portal 2
    - Deus Ex: Human Revolution
    - Last Guardian
    - Profesor Layton VS. Gyakuten Saiban

Games that I'd love to see:

    - Persona 5
    - Golden Sun 4 (which BETTER happen after that ending)
    - Eternal Darkness 2
    - A new ShadowHearts game that doesn't SUCK. (Screw you, ShadowHearts: From The New World)
    - ToMI 2
    - Apollo Justice 2
    - Myth IV

Also, a game that I hope never comes to be: Silent Hill: Downpour. Seriously, just...stop releasing Silent Hill games, you guys. You're not doing it right anymore.

    4. Duke Nukem Forever.

I want to buy this game simply so I can say "I own 'Duke Nukem Forever'".

NIDHOGG: I know that this game was commissioned for an exhibit in NYC, but if there was a public PC release, I'd be thrilled. The fencing combat reminds me a lot of my time actually fencing, and of games like the original Prince of Persia on the Apple II.

SpyParty: SpyParty is really fascinating look at what can be done to create new and exciting gameplay experiences. This multiplayer game is so intriguing because it creates a very cerebral competitive experience that values caution, intelligence, and keeping cool while still ratcheting up the tension without Rambo-esque battles. Insanely intriguing and I can't wait to get my hands on the finished build.

Bastion: This game is obviously beautiful, and I'm greatly intrigued by the promises it brings to the table. The idea of a "dynamic narrator" that responds to your actions in real-time is really neat, and this Action/RPG promises a lot of depth. Whether it can deliver that or not, I don't know, but I'm certainly interested.

Portal 2: Portal continues a very fine tradition of snagging amazing student projects and giving them the AAA treatment. I'm really excited to see how they implement the "Tag: The Power of Paint" elements into Portal puzzles, and extra complex co-op puzzles in their own campaign certainly have my interest.

The DS isn't, but the DSi is. And I'm too blind to use a DS, I own a DSI XL. Trust me. I bought Pokemon Black on opening day here last year and it would not work.

Ah, I just have a DS lite, so I'll take your word on that.

Why did you get an American DSI XL if you live in Japan?
Didnt the XL come in Japan first?

One of my best friends in the US sent me Rune Factory 3 for Christmas (and a replacement Pokewalker due to the unfortunate sock incident that saw me lose mine...) but thanks to the catastrophic mail cockups here in the UK (AKA "OMG IT'S SNOWING CANCEL EVERYTHING") it hasn't arrived yet. And I can't wait until Pokemon Black/White gets released over here. What can I say, I'm a sucker for sequels that have extremely similar game mechanics to their predecessors.

    Five realistic wishes for 2011:

    Chapters 3,4,5 of The DreamMachine
    Rage
    Torchlight II
    FEZ
    New levels for geoDefense

Five more unrealistic hopes for 2011:

A fantastic SF adventure or The DIG II
    The Bard's Tale II
    ELITE III
    System Shock III
    Ultima X

That is the most accurate description of the U.K.s reaction to snow ever. I fell off my chair laughing when I saw that.

It should still only be region locked if the game features DSi-enhanced features.

Also, that's not totally accurate, the DS isn't the only system that's not region locked. The PSP isn't either, and if we're not just talking current systems, the entire Game Boy line isn't either. Also, if you have an old Gyromite cartridge, you can open it up and use it to play Famicom games on an American NES.

Yes, but it was a gift from my uncle in New York. Not going to say no to a free DS.

Again, this is true. But almost ALL of the video games for the DS coming out in Japan now have DSi features. If you pop those games in a DS or DS Lite it will work in them sans whatever tiny special feature was added, but NOT in a DSi.

Reverse is true... DSi games like Pokemon Platinum from the US won'r work in a Japanese DSi but will in a Japanese DS. Confused?

There are a few new games out that don't have regional features; just bought a calligraphy game yesterday and it's not DSi enabled so it runs fine.

Yeah, I've got one import game: Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten. I got it about five years ago when I was taking Japanese my freshman year of college. I still failed, but it was because I was trying to take it at the same time as a programming class. The DS kanji dictionary was a wonderful tool.
