Any film makers/film students here????
I'm really keen to find out if any of you are of the above^^^^ or anyone who's into acting as well. Anything regarding film making really.
I was going to go to film school but in UK its a joke price wise and in NZ i can but need to get residency first. (Otherwise you have to pay like the 20,000 international student fee.)
I would love to go to film school as I never went to college or uni and I'm pushing 30 (i'm 26) and i would love to hang out and work with people who have the same passion as me and experience it all.
But for the meantime ive gone indie style and am self taught. (Including being a ninja of the night and defeating evil scumbags of the city.)

I made a large T-Rex head out of paper mache. It can open and close it's mouth and all that good stuff. Haven't started filming it yet cause I need to give the T-Rex teeth first and also paint it but it'll be fun.
I also made a very short animated Godzilla vs. The cloverfield monster video. Oh, And I also do Jurassic Park toy reviews on youtube as well. :P

Well, there are links in my signature. I'll be putting on more videos soon (and not just BTTF stuff!)
I'm hoping to stumble across a pile of cash so that I can buy myself another decent camera and a nice professional lens (for that essential depth of field). In the meantime, my Dad kindly gave me an expensive photographic camera with three professional lenses so I'm using that to hone my craft in photography in terms of lighting and angles (which should be good practice for when I get a video camera again).
Below are some photos I took a while back. Please note these were taken using my friends mobile phone camera so they do not represent my full potential at all (although I think that they give a fair indication):
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
This is just to provide an example of the original (poor) quality of the image as taken on a low end mobile. I have altered the following images using Photoshop to give a better idea of my visual style (which I will be able to capture in camera a lot more once I get some proper kit)

This is the same image as above but with the equivalent of post-production having been applied (in this case, photoshop)

In case you're wondering, the man in the photos is my friend Scully (whose camera I was using to take these shots for his bands website)

Note the depth of field effect in the background, which I had to create in post but with the right lens I'll be to achieve this in camera

There's a lot of post manipulation going on here. The original shot was in black and white, there was no sun and there were unsightly rails to the left and right of the shot (which I painted out)
As I said earlier, please don't view these images as what I would produce with the proper equipment. I'm much better than this. Also, I'm a very adept editor, which obviously I can't demonstrate with photos.
Cheers, so where's your show and tell?
Great stuff man. Truly, I wouldn't say so if it weren't true 'I Draw Death' really impressed me and some of the twisted camera angles and humor reminded me very much of Sam Raimi's style. I also really like what you did with the effects considering the limitations you were working under, though I highly recommend you get Photoshop as you could really make some really scary s**t with that (wanna see something really scary).
If I had to level one piece of constructive criticism then it would be that the lighting was far too bright for a horror. Given the low budget I think it may have worked better to have one electrical source of light (a small lamp on the drawing table for example) and have the rest of the house lit by candles. By the way, regarding 'Godzilla vs. The Cloverfield Monster'; it's always nice to see the LSA get a look in and again I was impressed with what you achieved using just Windows Media Maker and MS Paint.
You really should invest in some better software because I reckon that you'll blow people's socks off!
P.S. I'm going to PM you tomorrow (Sunday) and propose an idea I've got regarding 'I Draw Death'. I really think there's some amazing potential there and I would like to see it fulfilled with your blessing. Sorry to sound vague but it's the early hours in England and I need some kip but I'll be in touch.
Very low budget stuff, but we try to make it quality.
Peanut Butter Bandit saga
A man is killing people by forcing peanut butter down their throats. Crazy stuff happens.

Superday
After skipping school, two kids get magical powers from a voice named Gabuwanu, and are forced to battle the unrelenting liar, Paingiver.
I am looking into voice acting right now, and have a brief cameo in SilverWolfPet's upcoming BttF Tribute Video: Episode 2. As the student film program (which is more commercial and has no backing from the campus film department) at my college sorts itself out, I've decided to start taking on some film projects with my college film buddies.
Also, I'm looking into doing a collaborative film project with SilverWolfPet.
I hope to have more material out on the internet in the next year or two, so stay tuned! (^_^)
Tell me what you think to this, just one of my many ideas.

After that I have been working on several ideas but I never found something that was worth to try and go beyond the script stage. I did a couple of tests for one project but it got to big (a common problem):

I'm currently working on a script though that I'm aproaching in a different way and I have really high hopes for this one.
Like wise, I doubt you trust me.
I've made a few films, short films. The thing is that they were made for SVHS, rather than they were made for normal VHS, and certainly not the internet. I'll see if I can get any of the videos on line for you.
I made one video from the perspective of a squirrel. I enjoyed it...
The other was for John Lennon.
Intellectually, I've forced myself with self experimentation/ philosophy to grow, mature. I've likely beyond some of the content. I'd still like to share some of it.
