Where are you from?

edited March 2014 in General Chat
I was reading the several threads about translation S&M. I will not go into that, but I did notice what a multi-cultural audience S&M has! I saw a few Germans, Italians, Spaniards, Cloggies (hey, I can say that since I'm Dutch myself), a Portugese, a Fin and an Israeli.

So, where are you from?

Marc

ps. again, I'm from the Netherlands.

IIRC the term was coined in The Undutchables. At least that's the only context where I've ever encountered it, and I'm Dutch myself.

In a hole (very small town) called Kitimat in northern British Columbia, Canada. It has Lots of trees, snow and mountains. Unfortunately its an evergreen rainforest so its very wet quite often. There is fun to be had, but one has to sacrifice thier health to enjoy it fully (as with most things in life :P)

ex: Snowboarding *wheeeeee* - Frostbite *arrrgghhh*

... and no, we don't use Sam's trivia-filled brain to power up villages, though with the argentinians cutting us the gas supply any time they feel like, we could really use an alternate power resource...

Good ole’ Illinois. A truly wondrous land where the dead can vote, everyone wears flannel shirts with trucker hats and bi-polar weather patterns threaten to destroy our plans for outdoor fun.

It truly is a glorious place…I think I’ll buy myself a state senator, I hear they’re having a 2 for 1 vote sale this week.

We were once referred to in national news as "A drinking town with a college problem" and once featured in an episode of South Park as the location for the pube fair.

There's supposedly some reference to Ft. Fun in the new Reno 911 movie, but I've yet to see it to verify.
