Dinosaur movies that don't suck?

edited March 2011 in Jurassic Park
Aside from Jurassic Park and The Lost World, what are some dinosaur movies or TV shows that aren't horrible or that weren't produced by Sci-Fi Channel (aka: horrible). Or designed for children.

This looks like it might show some promise, but it doesn't come out for several months: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terra_Nova_%28TV_series%29

Other than documentaries and a few children's movies.. I am sad to say I have not seen many worthwhile dinosaur movies other than the Jurassic Park films.

I thought The Lost World television series was pretty good. It only lasted three seasons because it was an expensive production but it was cool while it lasted.

The Valley of Gwangi is one of my favs as well.

The original King Kong is surprisingly awesome! I saw it the first time like 2 years ago, bought the DVD immediately.

BTW, how good is the book (not the film) Land that Time Forgot? I saw it real cheap in a book store.

You've clearly not seen the films on my list, then! :p

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, in particular, is the best dino-movie ever made after JP and TLW, IMO, and was basically the JP of the 1950's.

The book is great pulpy fun, and much better than the movie, IMO. There were also two sequels, forming Edgar Rice Burroughs' "Caspak" Trilogy:

    The People That Time Forgot
    Out of Time's Abyss

The former of which was also a rather forgettable movie made by the director of "Land"...

Unfortunately, dinosaur movies are hard to come by, and when you do see one they're not very good.

King Kong, The Lost World, Land Before Time, and the valley of Gwangi are all awesome and legendary.

Thanks so much! I'll buy them, because I'm real curious.:)

Meanwhile, one of the best 'dinosaur music': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stS4SSrv6cU
