Sooo... same boat as Fawful here, never seen a Muppet movie (well I did see "Meet the Feebles" a long long time ago, but I believe that's something else entirely). I'm willing to be educated though! How many Muppet movies are there, and which one should I start with?
EDIT: Never mind, I'll try "Muppet Treasure Island" 'cause I like the original story.

The best thing to do, I think, is to watch the original "The Muppet Movie". Aside from that, there are a lot of bad Muppet-based movies. Though I do enjoy Muppet Treasure Island and Muppet Christmas Carol, others feel they are the beginning of the end for the franchise. Pretty much everyone that loves The Muppets loves The Muppet Movie, though.
The Muppet Show is a better place to go after you've exhausted those three films, as it's that sketch comedy in which the Mupets first really showed their stuff and in which their personalities were first developed, as much as Muppets "develop", heh.
Yeah, The Muppet Movie is definitely worth watching (for everyone), and I would recommend watching the Muppet Christmas Carol late in the year when you are in a Christmassy mood. Muppet Treasure Island is fun too but I generally wouldn't start with that one because you sort of need to familiarize yourself a bit with the "standard" Muppets before you can really appreciate the characters-in-character.
"The Great Muppet Caper" and "The Muppets Take Manhattan" I think are both decent movies, but I haven't seen either in a long time and I don't think they're really must-see stuff. "Muppets From Space" is pretty blaaah. I definitely wouldn't bother.
Jason Segel.
John Krasinski.
Ed Helms.
Zach Galifinakis.
Neil Patrick Harris.
Jack Black.
Rashida Jones.
Donald Glover.
Ricky Gervais.
Whoopi Goldberg.
Billy Crystal.
Get excited.
Holy crap. All that list is missing is Macho Man Randy Savage, which I guess is excusable since he's a bit unavailable right now.
Bret McKenzie's great! But Paul should at least have one song in there, I'd say he's still interested seeing he did A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa.
As I saw the trailer I was like, "Oh great, not another stupid.." but then a big grin came on my face when I saw Kermit. Man. Its been so long since there was a muppet movie. This is going to be great.
Kermit's character was always pretty humble. He sees an ad opening for frogs wanting to be rich and famous, and comments that he's actually quite happy where he is in a swamp. The main consideration he has, then, is that he could make millions of people happy(even though he'd "really miss this swamp, but..."). If he was sad, blame Disney for messing with his characterization.

This suprises me. Isn't it you who loves Tim Curry? He's one of the leads in Muppet Treasure Island. Which happens to be my favourite Muppet film.
Edit: OK, missed a comment up there! But you should definitely watch it.

The music is being written primarily by Bret McKenzie, who is a pretty funny guy so it should be pretty interesting
Yah, I as I pressed play so kinda ruined the surprise... but the teaser was still cool!
Cool! Seeing Pirates next week, and want to see those two trailers...
I quite like the fork in the road...
Yeah, someone said that there is a hidden
...wow.
