I completely agree with the above sentiment. This will probably be my most looked-forward to movie of the year.
  • edited May 2011
Well, I will say... that was NOT what I was expecting from that trailer. I knew *that* movie was coming out this year, but not via that trailer.
Epic trolling, Disney, and well played.

Ok I expected a twist and... I did get that I guess.
  • edited May 2011
Yaaaaaaay!! :D And it is with 53 of my favorite actors :D

Did anyone but me find this blatantly obvious? Maybe it's because I knew Jason Segel wasn't doing anything else, and that Amy Adams was in the movie... but really, it didn't surprise me at all.

I was already excited. Now, I'm borderline ecstatic.

I actually didn't know anything about this movie going in other than that it was coming. With so many trailers being formulaic, your brain goes numb to the content of it because they're so homogeneous. They could have very easily

I honestly did not expect them to treat this property with anything even remotely approaching dignity and respect, but their latest projects(including that recent YouTube Channel) have really restored my faith with the people working on it right now. There was a point not THAT long ago where, if you told me about this project, I would have shrugged and said "eh, maybe" at best. I am now definitely looking forward to it though, making it the second most-anticipated upcoming
    puppet
    -related film.

Th bigger question here is who ISN'T going to be in this movie.

    Lame actors. :D

Actually, I'd say it's a safe bet 85% of them will just have the typical Muppet cameos, like Bob Hope and Steve Martin's wonderful bits in The Muppet Movie. 'What are you doing here?' 'A very brief cameo.' 'Me... too...'

Being the massive geek I am, I recently rewatched the Star Wars and Roger Moore episodes and they're still as amazing as when I watched them on VHS as a little person.

I saw this in theaters, brilliant! It fooled me.

    I've also been
    Muppet
roll'd. Didn't even know they were doing this movie, tbh, so it's a good surprise.

    Oh, jeez. Well-played, Disney.

    What a tweest! Good stuff.

Very clever. I fell for it. Very frakking clever.

haha first I was like huh o_O and then I was like whoa :D.

:D This is awesome! I'm definitely going to be seeing that one. Its about time the muppets did some more stuff on the big screen. I doubt it'll be as epic as Muppet Treasure Island or the Muppet Christmas Carol, but so far it's looking like it'll be a great watch none-the-less.

I had no idea about a new muppets movie so I was just watching the trailer thinking "Lord this looks really dum... Kermit!"
I just got trolled but in the best of ways :D

    Ugh...Muppets...

I'm not that into movies at the moment, so this was a complete surprise. Very, very funny twist and a much appreciated one. Gotta love those guys.

I just want to see the faces of the people who go to the theater without having seen the trailer first.

Then just pop into any POTC screening. It's running before the movie, caught everyone in the theater by surprise. :p

I'm planning on seeing PotC anyway, so I probably will. Just one more reason to be excited for that movie!

Wait, wait, as far as I have understood, "Green with envy" is only a fake title and this movie will of course be properly named "The Muppets". No chance for people being surprised while actually watching the movie. ;)

Awww. They should keep the "Green with Envy" title and confuse people!

But, I guess I can understand from a marketing perspective that you'd want people to know what they're going to see so as to not alienate potential customers.

ARRRGGGGHHHHH I missed the commercials before Pirates of the Caribbean.

Sure would be nice if the top rated comment didn't spoil the surprise...
  • edited May 2011
It didn't air before PotC:OST here in Australia. We got X-Men: First Class and Green Lantern trailers.

    Ricky Gervais.
    Whoopi Goldberg.

    Get excited.

Only two that interest me. But looks good anyway and looks like Crazy Harry is in it. I never felt he got enough screentime in the movies.

Meh. I haven't seen any Muppets movies, so I guess I only care for the live-action stars. I adore Amy Adams, and the rest of the cast is brilliant.

Watch The Muppet Movie now. One of my favorite movies. Period.

Muppet's Christmas Carol is probably my favorite rendition of the Christmas Carol ever. Make that my favorite Christmas movie ever.

Oh. Okay. The only Muppets movie I've ever had any interest in is Muppet Treasure Island. The reason should be obvious. I might watch one...or two.
