Has your workout program included excessive running or something like that?

My work schedule provides that I work 6-7 hours a day walking, running, lifting, pushing, pulling heavy things. I've hurt myself working a few times. This is a little new though.

I do this for a day and then the following day. Then I get to break for a while but it's still pretty brutal doing that twice in a row. I rip my body up pretty bad some times.

I had this with my arm once. You might have carpal tunnel(I think thats what its called.) it went away about after a day though you should see the dr though cos I was planning to if it lasted longerthen a day.

I seriously think you need to loosen your schedule a little.

Carpal tunnel is a constant ache. Also the foot doesn't have carpals. ;)

That reminds me. I should go and see a doc about my strange behviour I've been doing lately.

When I'm on my bus to uni, I seem to be sort of falling asleep.
Not actually falling asleep, but getting close enough to it that it starts to hinder me.
(Sometimes I almost miss my stop, just being able to snap out of it long enough to act.

On these long journeys I struggle to use my time more efficiently.

It also seems to be happening at work now as well.
Could it have something to do with energy, dehydration maybe...

You should check and see how much longer it has to be asleep for you to get into the Guiness Book of World Records.
  • edited May 2011
OK, just for fun, I went to the Guinness site to see if there actually is a world record for sleeping body parts. I didn't find one, but.....

Did you know that Telltale Games is an official Guinness Book Of World Records holder?

And I just realized that I spelled "Guinness" wrong. Maybe I'm up for a record in not realizing a misspelling of a book for the longest time. I don't think I've ever spelt it right, come to think of it...

That makes twenty-one years and change!

I have a similar workload and haven't had this issue....my friend has though who does factory work. :/ I hope the news isn't bad, good luck

I had pins and needles in one foot on and off for months. It turned out to be a problem with my back...

I despise it when I pull a muscle. Man, that shit hurts worse than the time I got hit by a car or the incident involving a kettle full of boiling hot water and my hand.

Meh, it was passable. Parts 3 and 4 are the true cinematic classics.

That's OK, it's probably not a good sign that I know how to spell "Guinness" correctly.

Oh no's! I know it might be quite a feet but do try to rest and relax, as to avoid any further toe jams. Maybe you could listen to some sole music whilst you recuperate.

So many days until I see the doctor. This is not something I'd put off for as long , had I a choice. I called and got the answering machine to ask for a earlier date.
  • edited May 2011
I'm trying to block it out but my other foot is starting to hurt, it's hurting the one that's not a sleep. My ankle hurts and the other foot is experincing pain.
  • edited May 2011
You know, if it gets really bad and/or intolerable then you should phone the doctors again and request an emergency appointment for the following day. That way you should at least get some painkillers.
  • edited May 2011
Uh.... if your foot has been asleep for more than a day NO Doctor if he had that knowledge would hold off seeing you as it could likely be deep vein thrombosis... Does your town have an Urgent care clinic? If so I would go asap.

All I get is the secretary And trhey say this monday is the earliest. We have near by hosptials but don't know if we can afford a appointment or walk in

I am far from a medical expert but could it be a clogged artery? Do you have a healthy eating pattern?

Again, my family is like, yeah whatever guy...no big deal...whatever...don't forget that this started as a back injury and then a leg injury both of which no one gave a terd.
  • edited May 2011
I don't think that I want to wait three full more days. I think I'm going to the Hospital tommorow against my parents wishes. My family keeps blowing me off, I don't want to wait any longer. When I walk on my foot it's falling a sleep and it's aching and now other parts of my body feel like they're aching. They are making me do work around the *BEEP* house! I'll let them pick up the bill and pay them back.

It started as a back injury that no one cared about, where I couldn't even walk or lay on the couch, then a leg injury no one cared about and now it's in my foot. They are saying **** about me how I do nothing all day, when my leg is in pain and now my foot is always falling a sleep and I hurt myself working my *BEEP * off at work for 6-7 shifts without ever taking any real breaks from the job for little pay...

I don't want to wait , I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for Monday. I don't want to wait that long, now I have a ache in my *BEEP* head to accompany all of this!

I think you're definately right to go to the hospital. As people have said, it's could be thrombosis or some blockage. Also, it could be possibly related to your back injury. I had a bulging disc which pressed on the nerve that went down my leg. I get pins and needles, numbness and spasms in the muscles (like cramps but last longer and hurt more). I do hope that you feel better soon, and that the hospital works out whats wrong and fixes it...

I see the doctor today about my foot!

The doctor had a theory and I now have meds but I'm not sure that I learned anything. I got another appointment June 7th.
  • edited May 2011
What was the theory? Blood Clot?

A inflamed nerve located near the base of my spine, I think it was something like that. We did xrays, he looked them over. I trust my doctor, I truly do and right now it explains everyting, and it's probably all in my head but some times I feel ike I forgot to tell him something.

And, he wasn't sure it was anything, I know it's something. Got a nother appointment 7th

I'm glad the doctors sorting it out. Inflamed nerves are no fun! I hope it settles down soon. I was offered cortisone injections but am wary of needles near my spine...

So, what are you getting now, some kind of antibiotics? And are they helping?
