Too bad the games were still awful. When was the last time they even made something worthwhile in the franchise? I mean, really? They should put it out to pasture.

Yep. You're right. Nope, there is none. Uhuh, pasture is a good idea alright. Nope, you're not trolling anyone today.

Last year, I went to a Halloween party dressed as Papa Lazarou. I was concerned that someone would start a fight with me, thinking I was some kind of racist but lucky everyone seemed to understand (or maybe they just thought I was a lunatic and avoided me).

The reason Ultrama TTF is hated is because Ultraman is a long life legacy of Japan. The USA shouldn't touch it.

Eat shit and die. There was nothing terrible about Sonic SATAM. I'll take Jaleel White as Sonic over any of the video games ANY DAY, Poopy Pants.

I never even knew about SatAM until way after the fact. I used to get up early for school to watch AoStH, though. Looking back, yeah, that one was pretty crappy, but I still enjoyed it.

    But it was Australia.

Meh, same difference to me. LOL

It's what Doctor Who is to the British. Ultraman has been around since the 60s and still airs today. I used to watch it all the time with my father. Japan and its monsters and buildings (model making, explosions) are legendary. Besides the original Ultraman has a Japanese culture feeling to it that Aussies just can't get right. No offense.

I thought Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job had some funny moments.

No I hear what you're saying. I just love that show.

That show started out great, but kinda lost its momentum after the first season. Kind of like Metalacolypse and the later seasons of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Was that the british show... one guy was kind of a tank...and there was a metal pteradon type villain? I watched that.

edit: just saw the pictures...yep. I liked that one.

ATHF maybe, but I think Metalocalypse is still strong.

Millennium anyone? Considering how bad the ratings were, I was surprised they gave it 3 years. That show was awesome though. Used to be "that show with the guy from Aliens", now it's "that show with the other guy from Lost".

There were many many more from when I was a kid that I don't remember. I was born in a generation gap, so a bunch of shows couldn't get great ratings and were constantly switched around.

The Goodies, a lot of people just seem to think it's a stupid kid's show. Thats not giving it the respect it deserves, I'd say its at least on par with their contemparies the Pythons.

That was a great show! I still watch it occasionally on the Chiller channel.

I've never watched it but anything with Terry O'Quinn in it has to be worthwhile.

    That guy owned LOST.

It seems to me that most fans of the Star Trek franchise love The Original Series and The Next Generation, but generally dislike Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise.

I, on the other hand, dislike The Original Series show (several of the movies are good, though) and am a big enough fan of TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT that I have seen every episode of each of them multiple times.

TOS was the purest Star Trek ever got for me in terms of portraying an ideal future of mankind. It really pushed social issues. It was science fiction instead of space opera. TNG was still pretty close, but DS9, Voyager and Enterprise push farther towards space opera than science fiction. That said, I enjoy all the series.

This is true for the time in which it originally aired.

For myself having grown up on TNG however, TOS just isn't that great. It seems to have lots of episodes that follow extremely similar plot themes to each other: an alien takes control of the ship and threatens to kill everyone; an unknown alien threatens to kill the away team on a planet; an idealistic computer purposes to control/exterminate humans in order to maintain perfection. In the cases of such computers, the best way to thwart it to convince it that it is evil and thus it should destroy itself.

Also, there is quite a lot of overacting and, despite Chekov being considered a major character in the movies as he is on the bridge staff, in TOS, he plays very little part, and I believe doesn't even enter the show until the 2nd season.

FLCL. A great anime in my humble opinion, but none of my fellow otaku (anime fans) like it. In fact, they all hate it and mock me for my love of it. Takkun!!!!!!!!

Ah come on, FLCL brought a new wave in Anime. You're hardly the only one to like it. In fact, a lot of my friends enjoyed it when I introduced them to it back when it was only available as a fansub.

Btw, otaku doesn't equal anime fan. Unless you're american, in which case I apologize. :P

Totally Spies. At least no straight man. Or woman over the age of nine.

I'm not into shows that mimic Japanese anime(the studio that made Totally Spies is one of the few examples on mimicking the Japanese stuff by adding all the anime cliches). But I used to know a sick(perverted) artist who used to draw the girls doing lesbian things ;).

Did anyone here mention the brothers grunt or Darkwing Duck?

Japanese anime is just animation. If anything the shows mimic certain art styles present in anime, but not anime in general. There is an asston of unique anime styles. Boondocks is an example where it didn't just look like anime, it was animated by Japanese studios, although I'm not sure if the first season was or not. TS was actually produced by a French animation company.

Either way, as a kid, I really enjoyed Totally Spies. Not so much now, but I used to have a rather big kid crush on Alex.

Uh... Which one? I'm pretty sure hundreds of artists do that on the internet.

Also, I liked Friends. There, I said it.

My Totally Spies crush was and still is Sam, from Totally Spies. I just love girls with long hair and brains. And the fact that she's constantly brainwashed.

John From Cincinnati. Fantastic show, and the closest thing to Twin Peaks that we have. It's misunderstood, under-watched, and hated on for causing the demise of Deadwood (which it didn't). When a genius like Milch makes a show and you hate it, maybe you should rethink your position and try again.

    The Crow: Stairway to Heaven.

Stupid as hell at times, and missing that dark and dirty feel of the movies/comic, but it was entertaining. Just wish they had used an original Crow instead of Draven.

I used to like the cartoon series for Spawn when I was younger. Everyone I knew disliked it, or has no idea what I was talking about. I collected the comics when I was a wee thing too.

I also enjoyed Xiaolin Showdown. I thought it was a fairly original show, and I kind of liked the style it had. I guess I can’t say I’m the only one who enjoyed it though. I know my sister, her friend, and brother were known to watch it occasionally. I don’t think they’d admit a liking it though.

And..Session 9. Ok, it’s not a series, but a movie. Everyone thinks I'm lame for it, because it “looks so low budget”. I thought it was an original concept, and it was better than most of the blockbuster horror movies out in my opinion. Then again I also liked attack of the killer tomatoes, so that's saying something right there.

@Leplaya: I've seen some of the brothers grunt. It was a bit disturbing, but I didn't mind it so much. I actually kind of enjoy Danny Antonucci's style in both his cartoons.

I like how this has become the "Embarrassing To Admit You Like Children's Cartoon Thread".

...oh wait, no, not like. The other one.
