No one has talked about Comic Con '11 yet?

edited July 2011 in General Chat
I mean, I probably won't be there, but some of you might.

Let's cross our fingers and pray that The Man himself, aka Steve Purcell, will show up...

Who here is going?

I'm not attending but I can hardly wait for this year's event because there's due to be an official Prometheus unveiling (hopefully a teaser trailer).

Do we know if Telltale will be there? And how much of a presence will they have? Will they be doing a panel this year? And finally what games will they show?
  • edited July 2011
PCB Productions will be showing the enhanced edition of Toonstruck for iPhone/iPad hope someone here goes to Comic Con and gets to check that out as well.

I have no excuse for not going, as it is all of an hour and a half away from me. But I'm not going anyways, because I completely forgot to buy tickets and they're probably sold out by now.

Steve Purcell always shows up to comicon. Telltale according to their twitter feed will be there.

On Facebook, they mentioned having a panel (edit: Booth :P), and the ability to play Jurassic Park. Also, during E3, I believe a staff member mentioned on the forum they would show more The Walking Dead details during Comic Con.

    We'll definitely be at Comic-Con. I don't know if we have a panel, but we'll have a booth -- Booth #5337!

I'll start getting more pumped when the scheduling is set. I mean, it starts in just over a week and there isnt even a set schedule for everything. Unlike E3, I wont be watching all the coverage on this one, but theres a few movies/games/TV shows that I'm interested in. The big one is actually the new B&B unveiling and if it will be worth watching.

In case there's anyone who (like me) doesn't often visit the blog: the Telltale dudes did a post about what to expect at their booth, including a signing schedule. The video is amusing.

When is Telltale going to hire me as a booth babe?
  • edited July 2011
Unfortunately, San Diego is still a good 5000+ miles from where I live. So Instead of talking about it, I will continue to grumble to myself that all the good stuff happens in the US.

Don't have too much fun. :(

Booth babes! One can be in tan shorts and a tan top with a jurrasic partk logo, or maybe it will be black and have the logo and have gray claw marks on the fabric or something, or tan with raptor skin texture! And one can be all 80s and back to the future like. Or something...

The Gamespot coverage from tonight is just an amusing disaster. 20min of BS'ing. "Hey let's go check out this woman dressed like Catwoman".

In their defense, "attractive girl in cosplay" videos do extremely well traffic-wise. As one could imagine.

Oh I'm sure. The whole thing was amusing though. I can't wait for it to actually start. Wish I still got G4. :/ oh well, I'll have to watch what I can online.

Where!? Are they doing this in the video?

This is our purrrrfect purrrrrrrrrrfect gamespot coverage. With the purrrrrrrrrfect woman. And the purrrrrrrrrrrrfect....

    ??

    Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect......purrrrr.....purrrrrr!

You could see why it take so long...

oh they did other stuff...kind of... talked a little about the Goldeneye remake and the new spiderman games. Most of it was wasting time though.

When did comic-con become about games?

I'd say that anything that falls under the umbrella of geekdom is fair game. Has Comic-Con ever been exclusively about comics?!
  • edited July 2011
I figured it years past it had been. I can understand comic book games, like Batman, but non-comic book games I say have nay a point there. You don't see comics, anime, or what not showing up at E3.

Considering I've been doing martial arts for six years... I'm pretty sure this is a more apt description of me too.

I know you're a marketing guy and all, but you do realize that's not exactly a defense, right? I mean, that's like saying, "Sure, Judas ratted out Jesus. And maybe that was morally questionable, sure. In his defense though, he got a LOT of money for it."

Hoping to go to Comic-Con next year... when do tickets usually go up?
