What Comic books/graphic novels you want to see Telltale do?

edited October 2011 in General Chat
Seeing that the upcoming Walking Dead game is based on a graphic novel, I think it would be a good idea to bring this into discussion. Now I am very aware that Telltale has done games based on comics/graphic novels before. Two of which are Sam and Max and Bone. So what comic books/graphic novels would you like to see Telltale do?

I know this won't likely happen, but I would love it if Telltale could make a game based off of Will Eisner's The Spirit. But keep it away from Frank Millers disaster!

    www.powernapcomic.com

This is a new webcomic (Not mine, I just read it). Even though it just started, I really like the concept of it.

All the comics that I like would make really horrible adventure games.

Most of them are manga, which probably wouldn't work (and they probably already have games), but then there's the Buffy and Angel comics (which are sort of fighting heavy...and when there's no fighting, there's romance), and Yet Another Fantasy Gamer comic and Order of the Stick (but those are already based on games, so it would be a bit silly to make a game out of them).

Hey Telltale, if you ever want to make a Power Nap game, you're my favorite game company... just so you know ;)

American Vampire, for one. And maybe Exit Wounds. I was gonna say Batman, but that would never work. Ooh, ohh, and The Surrogates

    Fables!

    ...Oh, right.

I think a Sandman adventure game has potential. Or Transmetropolitan. God I love Vertigo. :p

I know that this has nothing to do with comic books, but, do John Carpenter's Halloween. Love it!

X-Men its wide universe of villains and heroes and powers would be great for TTG to use for storylines and game play.

Oglaf, but alas, the Internet is a bunch of pussies, so they can't handle the awesomeness of this comedy semi-porn comic.

    I'd make that. But I'm a pervert.

Oglaf is great. But I don't really see a huge potential for gameplay. I mean, there's no cohesive storyline going on there anymore, just a series of oneshots. I don't even know where you'd start with a game.

I'd pick a character, or a couple connected characters. I'd probably look for something simple like a guy and girl or two girls.

    I could see that...

But whatever you do, add in the Clerics of Sithrak. They'd be a riot.

But like Penny Arcade, wouldn't it be better as an RPG?

I think it could work either way. But most of the epic battles in Oglaf end up with the opposing forces just having sex instead, so I don't really see a whole lot of potential for a combat focused game.

There have been sex RPGs. Maybe the sex could be a mechanic.

Please your enemies or murder them in turn based combat or turn based sex.

Yeah, screw that, if I ever get to work on a true commercial RPG, I'd go for an Oglaf-based game.

Well there is this comic featuring a dog and a bunny like creature who are freelance police and.....

In all seriousness its hard to say which would make a good comic mostly because most of the comics i read are usually DC or Marvel or Archie Sonic & Mega Man comics. Maybe an Archie game might work but I'm not sure.

As I mentioned in another post I'd quite like them to do a DC or Marvel game but I would go with one of the more grounded or less known types, say Deadman or Moon Knight.
