Plinkett's Review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
What a glorious Christmas gift...
A review of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull by Harry Plinkett. This is the same guy who gave us those legendary reviews of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
I know there are those who really dislike this man's reviews but personally I'm a big fan.

But how do you feel about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?
It's in 2 parts, but both can be watched now.
I love his reviews. I've had little nitpicks with him here and there but for the most part he's pretty spot on in what's wrong with these movies, and there's always something new I never really realized myself that I absolutely agree with.
Also glad to finally have someone agree with me that Mutt/Shia Le Bouf was absolutely not what ruined Indy 4.
Me, I didn't have high expectations, I just expected to see an Indiana Jones film, which I actually did see. And it's good enough for me.
Have you ever seen another pinket review? Yeah that was new but somehow expected. I will watch it until the end and tell you it that will happen again. I highly doubt it though.
Your loss.
Stick with it, you'll probably enjoy the rest of the review. He makes a lot of good points about the film. And also offers you a pizza roll. You like pizza rolls, right?
BUT!
I think we can take this farther. I think we should go into the movie theater suspecting someone you're going with of a murder plot. When you exit the theater without a gaping knife wound in your side, no matter HOW the movie was, you can feel the ZEAL OF NEW LIFE!
I think this doesn't even have to apply solely to films. We can apply this to books(I opened Twilight, and there wasn't a hornet's nest in there! What a fantastic experience!), plays(nobody snuck a real gun in with the prop guns and went on a killing spree? Fantastic!), and relationships(sure she rejected me, but she didn't try to claw my face off!). Thank you, GaryXwhateverwhateveretc, for thanks to you, I've found a new way to take less-than-mediocre experiences and make them valuable, by assuming the world will only ever produce shit.
Quit being a sheltered little girl.
Just out of curiosity, what degree of seriousness is there to this comment? Are you just being frivolous, or are you actually criticizing Vainamoinen for supposedly 'sheltering himself'?
We have no idea what a pizza roll is. Here in Germany.
Good response.
However, can you really blame Vainamoinen for choosing to personally stray away from such material? I don't think Vainamoinen is so much offended by the joke as he is just disgusted by it, and is choosing to stop watching based upon the possibility that such 'humour' will pop up again.
Perhaps he is 'sheltering' himself (though I hate the use of that term), but is there anything inherently wrong with doing so anyway? Surely we can't actually blame somebody for choosing not to view such content. Some people are capable of clearly distinguishing between (what they believe to be) negative and positive material, can block things from their mind accordingly, and are thus able to remain unaffected by the media they consume.
But there are others who aren't so apt at blocking their minds from the messages attached to the media they view/read/listen to. They can distinguish between right and wrong, but can still be affected by negative media if they choose to openly consume and tolerate it. So, instead of mentally filtering their media intake, they choose to avoid and reject immoral material entirely. That's just how some people operate; that's how some people prevent their moral compass from being affected.
To some people, choosing not to consume certain material is their way of maintaining personal morality. For some, tolerance is a form of acceptance, and some people don't want to accept something they view as wrong, so they reject it. They reject it based upon a decision they make for themselves, independently. It's a personal decision based upon their own views and their own way of operating.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that, and I don't think anyone should be condemned or mocked for such choices. I think it's wrong when those decisions are made for another person vicariously, but if a person is making these decisions for themselves, then I believe they should be perfectly free to do so.
"Oh my God! What's wrong with your taaaaaste?!"

You all should watch it if you haven't. It's really good.
