Physical release, is good news. Sure is but you guys better get that game out by December. I want you to put another team on making the physical even more bug free, they should be doing that now as you release these later episodes. Then get certified in my country and bring the game here, when you do that, I will finally give up and just play the game. Next time round make sure you tell us whether or not you're going to release digitally here on consoles.
I can see it now paying $80 to a $100 for a $40 dollar game, this smells like a scheme to me. Starve two populations of a game so you can make a significant profit at the end of the year when games sell the most. Just sayin.
why isnt this on the telltale youtube or the main page as a playing dead, is there some kind of exclusivity deal for ign for a few days or did you guys just forget to put it on your website?

no shit. are the paying customers of IGN more important?

It's IGN! They whore out all kinds of exclusivity and other nonsense that just seems stupid. They're the people who convinced Bioware to put one of their journalists in Mass Effect 3 and then gave the game a really high score (yes it was a different journalist on that review but I still call conflict of interest on that). I'm sure they paid Telltale a buttload of money to get that stuff before anyone else, even Telltale! That's not meant as an insult to Telltale, but it is just most likely the case.
Also a fun little fact from the Playing Dead video was the stats for the food distribution. Here are the percentage results on who fed who:
Clem: 96% (The 4% who didn't feed her have no soul!)
Duck: 95%
Mark: 58%
Larry: 42%
Kenny: 33%
Lilly: 29%
Ben: 19%
Carley: 15%
Lee (Kept for themselves): 11%
Doug: 3% (So much for the developers' favorite...)

actually i dont mind if ign is willing to pay telltale to get traffic on their site ( i just wondered why it wasnt up), as long as that was the deal, a shady review fix in exchange for exclusive videos would annoy me though, businesses should make money any way they can as long as it isnt morally wrong like fixing reviews to get more sales
i was wondering if anyone knows why the episode is on every other game site except telltales seems odd that gamespot and ign have it before the telltale website

Well, Katjaa and Doug seem to have more fatty tissue than most of the survivors, so I think that it is somewhat understandable why many people would choose to feed some other people instead, because their body can use fatty tissue for energy. That's atleast why I chose not to feed Katjaa or Doug. Now you all can call me fatist (far+racist) or something.. :P

Doug got so little because only 15% of people saved him so it is more like 20% of all who could feed him

whenever i tried to feed him he refused the food, because apparently people are childishly picky when they are starving and only accept their favourite food
whenever i tried to feed him he refused the food, because apparently people are childishly picky when they are starving and only accept their favourite food
That means more than 3% of people tried to feed him and you can then multiply the number by 6.6 to get the proportionate amount.

Different Playing Dead episodes have premiered at different places. One went live first at GameTrailers, for instance. It's not a paid deal. Gaming news sites like to jar new content to debut, so they will give it good placement (eg a day on the homepage) in exchange for some exclusive time where they're the first place to have the video. It's slightly more annoying than the video going out to everyone at once, I agree, but I like the side effect it creates: people who wouldnt have seen it otherwise hear about the game and become fans.

that is fair enough, it just meant that instead of looking at your site to watch the video again, i had to go through all the effort of looking at my internet history or all the way to this thread
I was one of the 3% that gave Doug food, didnt even realize he only accepts the Apple. I just wanted the beef Jerky for myself so I gave him the apple lol

I added handy Playing Dead archive links to the beginning of this thread. Enjoy!

handy, and i guess it will be up on the telltale site soon now that its on the telltale youtube, that is what caused me to ask where it was in the first place:)
Is there any possibility of saving Carley? I know it won't change anything now since Ben is alive, but if there's a DLC or a full game release on consoles then I'd prefer of there being an option of saving either Ben or Carley.
Like if Lee sees Lily taking out her gun then you only have a limited of time saving either Ben or Carley. If you save Carley then Ben would be killed by accident, but will reveal he was the traitor and you would have the option to buried him or leave him, leaving Carley to fill the void for Ben throughout the whole game

If the story replaced carley with ben then we would have ben getting shot because carley was the traitor...cant have it both ways. if carley is replacing ben she has to be ben like in that way. Thus now all the people who liked carley are like whoa bitch you did what?? lmfao:p
p.s. Carley shoulda thought better of what she said to lilly. Calling her a bitch a little girl and telling her to get the fuck over it...not so smart...seems batteries weren't the only thing holding carley back...her mouth was a problem too;)
Only way Carly is coming back is if the injury didn't fully pierce her brain, and she can become a walker now
Oh and when are we going to start seeing 'Runners'?
NEVER. the zombies here dont evolve....they fall apart and keep on walking....that's why its the walking dead;) oh and we the living people are the runners as we too are technically the walking dead (as everyone is already infected)
You really can see how lazy TTG is with the new Episodes.
Anyone else noticed how Doug/Carley almost didn't appear in Ep2. (just right at the start and at the end) and they just die right at the start of Ep3?
That's so lazy from TTG, just so they don't have to program and record more dialogue for characters not everyone has in every playthrough. They're really doing this the VERY easy way.
I want my choices to really matter TTG. Stop that bullshit, please.

Yeah, They was only at end of Ep 1, Beginning and end of ep 2, then die at start of ep3... That seriously too fast... What about other character like Kenny, he survived from beginning to now... Well, Duck survived more than them...

You do realize this isn't a full game right?
I mean, it's arcade game for christs sake. Were you were expecting? - X amount of choices and X amount of getting to know the survivors, etc. This isn't ME or Dragon Age. Also, it's not "lazy" if your favorite character is killed off. Also, you DO realize that the time between each episode is different, right?
Episode 2 starts 3 MONTHS after the events of Episode 1.
Episode 3 starts a week after the events of Episode 2.
I think from the second episode alone, is reasonable for a character to get killed off. It's not lazy writing. There's only five episodes. It's the zombie Apocalypse....someone HAS to die. Obviously the fact that you're complaining means that Carly/Dougs deaths left a impact and that's what TTG was aiming for. A reaction. Whether positive or negative. You can't save everyone. Sure it would of been nice for Carly to survive at LEAST until episode four, and Doug as well.. but you can't say you didn't see this coming.
Lee's and Carly's "hint" of a potential romance.
and Dougs budding friendship with Lee.
So obvious they were going to die. Get over it!

You obviously don't understand.
It IS lazy.
Doug/Carly play little to no role in episode 2 and they get killed right at the start of ep 3.
It doesn't matter how much time there is between the episodes, we're not seeing any of it nor do we play it.
It's just obvious how the characters which are optional, these who would make a difference on the game, do appear as little as they can in the following episodes.
That's plain and easy lazy. That's not "the game is tailored by the decisions you make". It's "choose who dies now and who will play no role until he/she dies". It's lazy from a programming perspective. It's the easy way for TTG.
I'd have no problem with these characters being killed later in the game, if they just have had ANY impact on the course of the game until. Sadly, that's not the case.
I would like to see better crafted walkers- most of them are basic variations of the same type- if I see another walker in a blue team jacket, I'm gonna blow a gasket. The variations are pretty scarce, and there really should be fewer skeletal and more "recent" walkers, as in the comic and the television series.
Less of this:
This sort of idea is better. Don't just swap the heads on a zombie with another one. Make them more "used to be a person"-like.

It would still be Ben as the traitor, we just hear him said it after he dies

I hear you, the deaths of Doug/Carley were unexpected (which is good), but I agree they had little impact on the actual story.
However, I still enjoy the game and hope that Telltale can make it so in future episodes or even in the sequel that when you choose a character to save that they have a larger impact later on.
I see this as a test. Telltale was seeing how the dynamic of the Doug/Carley situation worked and maybe make a similar, but, more inportant one later on.
Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
When's the next Playing Dead coming out?
I need to know more about Episode 4
It will probably come out about 1-2 weeks before episode 4's release along with an Episode 3 stat trailer similar to episode 3 and the last Playing Dead episode. Sorry I don't have an exact date.
Getting back on topic regarding the Playing Dead PAX Panel: I don't know why it keeps popping into my brain, but AJ is SO GOOD as a host... he should really do this more often (or maybe he does?).
Also, will there be a HD version of the panel? Obviously it was shot in HD, as seen in the trailer, yet the full thing on YouTube is only 480p max.

Yes, Stubbs the zombie
No one fed Katjaa?
Edit: Can you even feed her?
IIRC, it's possible when you literally stuff her before you have a chat.
It's impossible after the conversation because she's occupied.
I might be wrong though!
I don't believe so. When I tried to feed her, she told me to give the food to Duck (even though I already had fed him).
Sucks for Doug! He's a resourceful dude. He freakin' saved Lee with a laser pointer! He even declined jerky when I offered it to him.
