Well in the comics they were at the prison for months. It makes sense that it would lead into season 4 too. Besides they don't want to catch up with the comics too quickly, or it would be the end of the show.
It's a shame that Dale went so early, as in the comics he died much later. Then again it's nice that the tv show is so different to the comics and not following it exactly
Relize the comics are still ongoin too i believe nice comic so i reccomend people to pick it up good read pick up the first 45 or so issue in one big phone book sized book for like 15 bucks on amazon i think.
Well in the comics they got to the prison at volume 3, so if you consider that we have had 15 volumes so far, I don't think we have to worry about the show going too quickly. Besides 2 volumes are released each year.
Yeah tv show is freakin huge and pilfering rating like no other. And us internet freaks are like a mere 2% of the viewers most the people who watch and are enjoying the show are people who dont even waste time reading ratings and what us internet forum lurkers even write. Show will most likely last a good 10 seasons before it gets canned if they keep up the ratings.
Yeah season 3 will have an extended 16 episodes. Still I don't think that it is enough to cover the time period in the prison. They spent much longer in the prison than they did at Hershall's farm. In the comics they were in the prison from volumes 3-8.
Ok lets see, The prison was first seen in Issue 12 until its it was over ran in Issue 48 or 49.
Characters that we Most Likely will see within the First 8 Episodes of season 3 are:
Michonne- Kickass Girl with Zombie Pets and a katana.
(seen end of season 2)
Dexter - An African-American victim inprisoned for murder.
Andrew - An African-American victim inprisoned for dealing drugs.
(Andrew and Dexter are semi-lovers - First gay themed relationship to hit the show)
Axel - A European-American victim imprisoned for armed robbery.
Thomas Richards-A nerdy victim inprisoned for "tax fraud" (really a serial killer.)
The Villain of the first half should be Thomas most likely due to the whole serial killer thing. But with most characters dead that shouldn't be or haven't made it in the show yet. I can't see where this season is headed.
The show is getting better and better in my opinion. Ever since the Governor came in, the show has really gotten good. He is my favorite character after all. I hope he causes much more damage and death in season 4.
Well, you know I disagree. Im all caught up with the comics and I think the show has been doing a great job of keeping to the spirit of them. I for one am excited for season 4 especially after seeing that amazing trailer. As for Shane, in the books he was killed off way earlier so we were lucky to get him as long as we did eventhough I grew to hate him at the end.
Also Shane dying was the best part of that season.
Oh I'm sorry, had I known that posting in this thread would cause you so much emotional damage, I never would have done it in the first place. Do you want me to ask for your permission next time I feel like posting something?

HEY YOU. You better check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Also you aren't even the one who bumped it back up into existence, but I forgive you either way. It's ok guys, I was trying to get under her skin with that Shane comment, let's let it go lol.

I agree, so glad he was killed. I liked Shane at first but he couldn't let go of the fact that Rick was back and his little "family" was never going to be...
Episode after episode i just wanted him more and more dead, if that makes sense haha
Shane had me riveted at times; he was a fantastic character but it was time to die.
The show's fine. It's not the game, and it's not the comics, but it has its moments, even if Season 2 could be condensed down into:
so FEE uh.... so FEE uh! Lori's pregnant. Brooding Shane. The Dale Face. so FEE uh! Gleggie. "Independent" Andrea. Lemmeaskusumthin. WHERE'S CARL? Daryl's ripped sleeves. T-Dog who? so FEE uh! WHERE'S CARL? Lemmeaskusumthin. so FEE uh! Walkers in the barn. Eleventy speeches. so FEE uh! so FEE uh's dead. Dale's Humanity's dead. Shane's dead. Walker invasion. Fin.
Or, the abridged of the abridged.
SOOOOOOFEEEEEUHHHHHHHH.
Still, S2 (and mostly in part to Shane's presence) was still better than S3. Woodbury underwhelmed me. The Gov underwhelmed me. At least it had Merle, and Michonne.
I don't think its the worst, I think its good at times, decent at others, not as good as are game, and not the best show on AMC, but now that show is almost over.

And you'd think we could have a civil discussion about the two now and then.
So far, Flame Reader's threads, incorporating show characters, have been received pretty well. That was a pleasant surprise.
I'm really tired of people always criticizing the show. I think it's even better than the comic, IMO (but not better than the game, though). People say they find the TV show too slow, well, I find the comics too fast, it's like "hey hey, hold on, I want to know more!". I know some people will find this offensive, but I think it's the best TV show in television history. It's my opinion.
Its your opinion, I will not hate on that, I respect that, I think there have been better shows in the history of the world but I respect your opinion.
Thanks. It's just I don't understand all the hate. I mean, if you like Walking Dead, I think you'll find it, at least, decent. I know there're some stuff that doesn't fit and some weak plots and episodes, but I think it's at least a decent adaptation. I'm not saying everyone should say it's a masterpiece but come on, it's not that bad, is it?

That's plenty of time to make it to work in the woodbury gang.
Also, just heard about the second book in the trilogy coming out for the Walking Dead. Super excited.
Season 3 will have 16 episodes.
Better you get used to fences and bars.
Ah! And we will see to Lori Tancredi again, hahaha. She will has flashbacks with Michael Schofield...
Even better!!!

Yup.. he was the same character.
I have heard the same thing...season 3 and part of the 4th season
Killing Shane off was a bad idea since he was the one and only reason I watched the first two seasons.
He's so damn fine

Don't bother . She is acting like a child .
