Not really to be fair, its good, I think it will be better with a new showrunner but who really knows, I like it.

At times it can be strong and other times it's weak.

I stopped watching the show a long time ago, but I never thought it was bad. It just wasn't for me, so I've always preferred the game.

But that's good that you like it, you have another thing to enjoy on TV.

That is how I see it, sometimes its really strong, other times the episodes do not have much to them, its a coin flip sometimes.

The show to me like others have said is a mix for me. Sometimes the episodes are great sometimes they are just plain bad, but overall I find them enjoyable. As well I know some people dislike that they aren't playing the show completely by the comics, and honestly I don't mind that. Sure it's nice to make interpretations of something and then put it onto the big screen, but honestly if they followed the comics, in a way I would feel spoiled because I would know who is dead and who is going to die at any given point. As well it gives room to introduce new characters like Merle and Daryl who I think are really good characters.

That is sometime I like, I mean I would know who is dead or not if it followed the comics to closely, that part I like a lot.

I love the show, but it's way too inconsistent in it's pacing sometimes. Season 2 was a drag, and S3 was a slow decline after the first 4 episodes. It has it's epic moments, like the barn, the deaths of certain characters, that are just *so* good. It makes the other parts fall flat because you are expecting more from it and it just doesn't deliver most of the time.

Don't even get me started on what they did to Andrea, I never felt so little for a character I WANTED to like, but they just made it so difficult.

I really hope season 4 does better, it definitely looks great but I said the same thing about season 3 so...

True, they failed on so many levels, at least the new showrunner is the guy who wrote the two best episodes of season 3, Clear and this Sorrowful life, it just showed the guy is talented enough to get us to like a asshole, but not Andrea.

I'm really tired of people always criticizing the show. I think it's even better than the comic, IMO (but not better than the game, though). People say they find the TV show too slow, well, I find the comics too fast, it's like "hey hey, hold on, I want to know more!". I know some people will find this offensive, but I think it's the best TV show in television history. It's my opinion.

Im way tired of people posting threads just to bash the show. Why? They're not in competition. I dont think the show is better or worse than the game because they're such different formats that require different investments. I can understand enjoying one more than the other but they're all three (the comic included) good at what they do.

When they spend about 3 shows with filler building up between a meeting with Rick and the Governer, people have a right to complain AND they're STILL at the prison......

Another thing about the show is that while some characters I will say weren't ported over the best like Andrea, but at the same time they had some great character ports as well, like Shane, who like I said before if they did strictly the follow the comics should have been dead season 1 but luckily he wasn't so we got to see him become a very tragic character. As well Glen I think was brought over pretty well and Rick. Lori I hate in both forms of TWD, and as I said before Merle and Daryl I find were great additions, just for the show.

On the pacing of the show I can agree that it is a bit slow at times, but does it really need to be faster than a rocket powered turbo slug. I can agree some episodes in season 2 and 3 were just horribly slow, but overall I find the pace was alright.

Depends on what you consider filler. I consider it building the story. And they spent quite a lot of time at the prison in the comic. They're not going to leave until they have a good reason. People want to see them roaming all over the country I guess but thats not what a smart person would do. In any case, from the trailer, it looks like they'll have to leave the prison at some point during the season.

They're going to have to leave because more than likely Philip is being a Creepy McCreeperson in the tombs - having got in via the breached section (at the back?).

IT'S COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE!!

I am a #TeamShane here, he never had to die and he was the most interesting character throughout the entire show in my opinion.

He was sowing discontent in the group. There was no way Rick and Shane would be able exist in the same space for long once Shane decided that he wanted to be in charge. He'd either have to leave, he'd kill Rick, or Rick would kill him. Notice how the group jelled after he was gone and became a well oiled machine.

100% agree, i liked the idea of him reuniting with his old partner and all that. Him trying to get Rick out of the hospital and barricading the door and all that was good to see, helped me want to like him...

BUT, he had to go and it didn't look like he was going to go quietly.

I could not agree more which is why I will probably watch Mob City #1 when it comes out. DECEMBER 4!

I loved the hell out of that flashback!

But I agree with you and KCohere.

Shane already adored the shit out of Lori and Carl so the ZA gave him a taste of what it was like to be the husband and the father and he liked it, a lot. He also considered himself the superior guy for the job. One way or another, shit was going to go down, and the writers weren't about to kill off Rick. It's a shame Carl stonewalled his way out by getting shot.

FTR, while I'm not #TeamShane, he was probably my favourite character. He was dynamic and complex, but he had a shelf life.
