Do you hear voices in your head when you read people's posts?

For some reason whenever I read jp-30's posts here or at mojo, I always read them as the voice of Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Yes, I do often hear voices in my head.

Wait, while reading someone's post? Well, I suppose then as well...

I worry about you, evil talking skull dude.

Anyway, I don't hear voices, but I do have a mental image of each forumer and a distinct personality for each... which is solely based on the posts of the forumer I have read.

Everyone who posts here has the same voice as me. Creepy.

Hello? Hello!? Is anyone there? I can't hear you!

*sigh* I guess not then. I must be pretty normal.

Good lord, that gets me EVERY TIME.

Also, I tend to hear David Tennant (with his REAL accent) when reading Pants's posts. Still not sure why.

Yeah, I read in voices but I never paid much attention to it. I read RetroVortex's posts in Yahtzee's voice now.

Please tell me my posts sound like Jeff Goldblum

The professor is one of the most unstoppable of the "Read in my voice" characters.

Your posts sound like Bill Farmer.

Rather Dashing has my dad's voice.

ALWAYS THE UPPER HAND. ALWAYS THE JUDGING TONE.
  • edited February 2011
Absolutely. Though -- and as noted by others -- I suffer from "everyone I don't know very well sounds like me" syndrome. Even the guys (although my subconscious grants them the courtesy of pitching the me!voice down an octave or two to keep things from getting too uncanny).

Even better (read: worse) is when my head voice for someone I do know well gets hopelessly "stuck" in my own Midwest accent, regardless of ahem regional accuracy. (I'm sorry, Shwoo. ._.)

No, they sound like Sam. After hearing your voice for the first time in the TDP IWWH video, that's all I can hear.

When I read posts is the only time I hear no voices in my head. So no.
  • edited February 2011
Yeah, but just generic male or female voices, nothing really specific.

...who do I sound like in your minds?
  • edited February 2011
Is it weird that even though I know how some of the people on this forum sound like in real life, and yet I read things in my head with my voice and my voice only?

No, I do the same thing.

I also hear my own voice when reading stories, which can be sort of annoying when I know that I should be hearing a British accent or something.

This randomly reminds me of my first A Wrinkle in Time readthrough, where I imagined all the Murray kids speaking with British accents. My brain says it had its excuses back then, but none of them are very good. :/

I just hear a generic reading voice.
Though it doesn't actually seem to be my voice...
  • edited February 2011
No, not really but i somehow imagine some presence according to what i know of the person and what he/she writes. But it's an interesting idea which makes me kind of curious how i sound like for others, at least to those who can hear those voices.

    Thoughts, you mean?

I write my posts in the same way I speak so I wonder does anyone hear my cutting Northern tones in their head.

I must admit I imagine all Remolay's posts in a somewhat whiny tone

Oh my, I totally read that in his voice! And I basically hear everyone's posts in my own voice...

Same here. Which can get really bizarre, since it's like a huge one-man conversation.

When I'm bored, though, I'll sometimes read posts in a Schwarzenegger voice, or if I've just watched a British show, everything I read is in a British accent for awhile.

I usually read everything in my own voice, unless it's someone whose voice I've hear, like SWP, Majus, or...

I cannot read that without hearing his voice. Make it stop!

Bwa ha ha ! It's in your head!
  • edited February 2011
    What voice do I have?
  • edited February 2011
When I read people's posts I have different voices in my head that change in tone dependant on whether I'm reading a females post or males post. Everyone sounds British to me though. I can't do accents. Not even in my head.

I don't actually hear a voice in my head, I just process the words :(
