Most Emotional Moment? (SPOILERS)

OMG yeah. That was a good one. Has anyone told her, "God Bless you," instead? I wondered about that choice but went with, "I'm here with you," because she was committing suicide. I wasn't sure how she would react being reminded of God, and the possible sin she was about to commit, right at that moment. Certainly did not want her to freak out and turn the gun on me!

I told her that instead of what you picked, and she sounded so tearfully choked when she said "God Bless you, too..", then proceeded to end herself..sad moment indeed, I actually cried at it. Lee's expression afterwards didn't help, either..

I just chopped him. I guess I am not all that emotionally into it. When I had to choose between Doug and Carly I was thinking I would rather get rid of Clemintine, actually. Doug and Carly are more valuable in survival than a kid. Same thing with deciding between Shawn and Duck.

I lost any respect for you for even contemplating getting rid of Clem! She's a prime example of how everyone SHOULD be in such a situation she is in, and you go wanting to get rid of her? Geez..Sure you'd find your emotions if it all happened to you, instead, hm?

All of the first episode was emotional for me, from being shocked to upset lol

"SORRY?! Your son is alive, you don't get to be sorry!"

I found that scene following Shawn's death pretty sad. I wasn't overly emotional, but I felt very bad for Hershel and Shawn.

Most emotional? Has to be the scene with Irene at the Inn. Giving her the gun and see/hearing just the complete hopelessness in her and how desperately she didn't want to end up "Evil" like the Walkers. Giving her the Gun and telling her "God Bless You," and hearing her say it in return...I'll admit, I got a little teary eyed. Hats off to her voice actress for relaying so much emotion in so brief a moment.

How did anyone feel about killing Lee's brother?

I really did not feel the attachment to this action that I think TTG was trying to portray. That may be because we had no contact with him in game prior to being zombified. *shrug*

I kind of felt the attachment through Lee and what he had pieced together about what had happened. His brother seemed to be a good guy, died defending his parents, maybe it was just sad seeing Lee go through the guilt.

Also, personally, I'm VERY interested in learning the circumstances surrounding the murder, or, better yet, being able to build those circumstances through choices so that it could turn out that Lee actually had intended to kill or it was an accident, or maybe self defense? Something along those lines would be awesome. Perhaps through a conversation where Kenny finds out about it and asks Lee for the truth, you could choose at the start whether what was said would be the truth or a lie, then choose what happened piece by piece.

It´s difficult for me to pick only one. The whole game was an emotional rollercoaster.

    My top three would be:

-The conversation with Clem in the office.

    -Chopping down Lee´s brother.

-And the scene with Irene. On my first playthrough I didn´t want to give her the gun, reasoning that since anyone who dies from anything comes back as a zombie, then it didn´t really matter if she had been bitten or not. When she stole the gun and killed herself anyway, I found it to be completely heart-wrenching. Particularly Lee telling her to think it through :´(

    - how far is Savannah?
    - Pretty far
    - oh, ok

The way her voice sounds....makes me think... I understood:

    - Will we reach my parents in time?
    - I don't think so.
    - I hope they don't die.

Irene won't come back as a walker. Brain damage is the only way you don't come back.

I really wish i could find a nice way to deal with clem needing to potty now i just use ... because lee so rude
  • edited May 2012
i found the clem's potty time was bit out of sync with lee's previous and following actions considering how nice and blunt you can be with her, just having a blunt i don't care option, or the classic 'hold it in' makes lee sound like an asshole and i hear that a lot so it maybe it's common for parents who are in a rush to say it, but yes larry was wanting duck alarange.....

I know that. I think I didn´t make myself clear: what I meant was that having been bitten wasn´t that big a deal (if you can fight the infection), because anyone who dies of anything will become a zombie anyway.

I was really hoping to be able to save her, though :(

I liked that moment, I found it very moving...

But the way you had to hit him multiple times ruined the moment... First of all, every time you had to hit him it felt like killing just a generic zombie than your actual brother... Secondly, when your brother is now a zombie, you WOULD think that Lee would be more warmhearted and try to kill him a little quicker and spare the pain of slaughter; rather than just keep hacking the axe...

That WOULD be pretty nice... This could also mean that you lose a bit of Kenny's trust and he will have you on blackmail if you irritate/provoke him; slipping out your secret past to everyone in the survival party.

When you are attacked by a zombie, fear and anger will make you swing the axe more strongly as when you're meeting your brother, smashed by a pole and zombified.

The answering machine messages at Clem's house brought a tear to my eye :(

The Most Emotional Moment?... In My opinion it was me kicking and screaming and crying like a newborn while I'm Perpetually stuck in a no release date limbo for episode 2, left hanging without any REAL word as to when that will be and feeling it may arrive just before my 85th birthday if i just keep my fingers crossed!

I was captured with the "Cop incident" in the beginning. WTF is that dead dude doing, and where is that gun, and why can't I load it... damn it... I'm not ready to give in just now already!

    *blam*

    *sigh*

And then came Clementine... she deserved someone coming along who would care for her.

    Love the game! :)

I felt bad for Lee during that scene. :'( My sister & cousin had both the same reactions. They were sympathetic, yelled for the brother to just die already when he took multiple whacks to kill, and then felt sympathetic again afterwards. o-o

I felt emotional a few times through out the game, but I'd say the most emotional moment for me was the argument that arose from Larry wanting to throw Duck out of the drugstore.

    I did. I forgot what she said exactly, but it was something along the lines of 'god be with you too, kind man'. Still made me almost cry. ;_;

Mine? It was when I walked in to Clems house and saw the large pool of blood... and then a coloring book..... I thought a child had been killed and turned.

Definitely the scene with Duck and Katjaa's death.
