Yes, you buy individual episodes on consoles (5$) and the entire game on PC/Mac (25$)

at 400 microsoft points per episode its the same price, if not cheaper than the season pass on the pc, not sure about psn though

the game is 400, 5 episodes 2000 points...

    2000 points is 24 €, and in ps3 season pass 19,99 €, is the same price?¿?¿
    i think no...

Has Telltale actually come out and said Microsoft won't let them?

I mean, it would seem pretty strange for Microsoft to arbitrarily say no to Walking Dead while okaying Mortal Kombat, LA Noire, Gears of War 3, etc. for season passes.

This started long before TWD. This started back when they were releasing Sam & Max season 1 on the 360. In fact for awhile there TellTale quit releasing stuff on the 360 due to this problem.

Good job I stick with the PS3

Yeah, but no other games had season passes on X-Box Live back then, either. I believe LA Noire was the first one.

In the uk you can get 2000 for £16.99 on play.com which makes it cheaper, not sure if that translates to any other country though

    Hello,
I just wonder if to play this game on PC or the Xbox.. But there's the question, what does meam that the game cost 400G points on XBOX (as arcade) which is approximately about $7 and the Steam price (or the one here) is $24.99..
    So what's that please?

No problem. I found this question asked over and over in this forum, so I merged the threads - you can even find some official answers on the first page now. ;)

...and good luck with Microsoft. 32$ seems a tad much!

again, microsoft not so evil in the uk, at most each individual episode is £4.25 which is £21.25 for all 5, but as you can buy 2000 microsoft points for £16.99 its works out to be much cheaper, im sure there would be a similar offer in other countrys?
  • edited May 2012
Oh, so that's just my currency? That price $32 is the "lower" price for the 2000 MPoints as you say.. However, you can buy it (in the Czech Republic) for 620,00 Kč which is $32,6 or £20.1

i was wondering if u have to pay for every episode the game comes out with?

or u only pay 1 time and it will download to your game?
  • edited May 2012
On the PC, you only pay once, $25, and the episodes download through the client you installed. On the 360, you can pay for episodes individually, and they all load from that little client.
  • edited June 2012
ok i bought the game and played e1 but can't seem to get e2 going? did the $25 i paid the first time just cover e1? if i have to pay $25 a pop i would have never bought this game. So my question is, Do i have to pay for episode 2? 3? 4? and 5? separetly as they come out? if so what a scam!
  • edited June 2012
No. The $25 was for all 5 episodes, but currently episode 2 is only available on xbox live. Once episode 2 (and the rest) are available on the PC, they'll be free for you to download.

And that should be sometime today.
  • edited June 2012
You paid for all episodes, don't be afraid.
  • edited June 2012
thank you, was kinda worried there! where will i download e2?
  • VainamoinenVainamoinen Moderator

From within the game, as soon as it's released.

    Hey.

Today I've pressed to buy The Walking Dead episode one, and it brings me to the shop with Walking Dead 24,99$. Then I pressed to put in the second episode and I get the same thing - Walking Dead. Is 24,99$ the cost for whole series or they just don't specify episodes in the checkout?
  • edited July 2012
On PC you can only buy all episodes at once, which you will be able to download as they are released.
  • edited July 2012
So yes, it's $24.99 for the entire series.

if i buy the game does it come with all of the chapters/episodes? or do i need to buy each episode individually?

twenty five bucks buys you a reservation similar to kick starter and each episode is free when it finally comes out but thats not availible on xbox where season one episode one is the game and all future episodes are DLC and again anything past two is not out yet
  • edited July 2012
BUYING IT THEN!!! yeah because my little brother told me you had to pay for each episode on xbox so i thought it was the same for PC?
I havent checked to see if it was true that you had to buy each episode on xbox but it is what i herd

Yeah you do four hundred points a piece but come on they release it every couple of months or so you have time to get an card which will cover you for the next four episodes
  • edited July 2012
This seem like a simple question but do we need to buy each WD episode for $24.95?

If not, how do we dl episode 2?

    Thanks!
  • CapnJayCapnJay Banned
    edited July 2012
that price is the full version and you can dl each episode as released. if on xbox it's four hundred points per episode with two through five as DLC

Welcome to the forums. If you purchased the 24.99 season pass, then yes. You will be able to get the 2 episodes already released and the others when they come out.
