Good point. But still, they should do a game. As long as it isn’t a special edition or some shit.

I think a Indiana Jones game thats done like Uncharted would be pretty epic, but I also think a TellTale Adventure style game would be a blast 2. So I would be all for them making one.

But, would Harrison Ford do it?
  • edited September 2012
I say he would if the games storyline was really good.
  • edited September 2012
If Atlantis taught us anything, it's that we don't need Harrison Ford.
  • edited September 2012
FUCK YOU! Harrison Ford IS Indy!
  • edited September 2012
I’m sorry, that was uncalled for. But seriously, only Ford or Sean Patrick Flanery are allowed to be Indy.

The one thing LucasArts Indy games have always had (when they had voice acting of course :)) was excellent voice actors that fit Indiana Jones well.

As DAISHI said, Doug Lee was excellent as Indy in Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. David Esch did a fine job portraying Indy in Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. And, say what you will about Staff of Kings, but John Armstrong did a great job voicing Indy in that game.

I will never back down on this casting choice.

Too late. He’s already been branded as Jerry Lee Lewis.

Has Ford ever done a videogame? I can't think of any. But after they found the perfect Marty McFly, I'd trust Telltale to find a good Indy if he won't do it.

But I also wouldn't mind an Uncharted style Indy game. We really should have a great current-gen Indy game.

I would like to see Emperor’s Tomb redone. Enhance the graphics, create checkpoints (having to start the whole level over was a real pain in the ass), but leave everything else the way it is.

How can you not love an actor who's name literally translates to "the beef".
Besides the fact that he's not very good at his job... and seems smug... and is rather annoying. On second thought, fuck the beef.

Shia is really cool in interviews, a regular guy. I think that most the guy populace would have a bigger ego than Shia... if they co starred in a film with Megan Fox where she was your girlfriend...And, women all around the world loved you.

The guy is pretty down to Earth from what I've seen.

Actually, I always pretended The Indiana Jones in Atlantis was Indiana Jones, was Harrison Ford. Using another actor all together and making a live action film is different than a cartoon game.

Fawful, he's too old...By the time it comes out he'd be 60 years old.

Anyone been on the ride? If you have, tell me your tale. I would like to hear from others who have also been able to “experience the adventure."
  • edited September 2012
It was...okay. Sorry, it's been 15 years and it didn't really leave much of an impact on me. I remember the Universal BTTF and JP rides more.
  • edited September 2012
Really? Because I’m a huge nerd when it comes to Indiana Jones, and the ride was like seeing my first born child (not yet): An experience you will cherish for the rest of your life.
  • edited September 2012
I remember Universal more probably because so many of those rides are gone now. King Kong, Backdraft, BTTF, ET...

I didn't even know they got rid of BTTF and King Kong.

Also, ET was my favorite ride at that place.

They still have Jurassic Park, right?
  • edited September 2012
Yeah it's there. King Kong wasn't a closure really, it burned down in a lot fire. That was Hollywood, Florida flat out closed theirs for something else.

I think... Perhaps the people who live within the State.... or within the Country, are better suited to answers these.

Another thing: The boss fight in the end of Emperor’s Tomb was too easy. You only need to hit him six times!

Yeah Jurassic Park is still safe.....for now. I just found out a couple weeks ago they got rid of E.T. =( I've heard rumblings they're going to take out T2. That will be the day Universal DIES. At least in my heart. :(

    I haven't even been on T2!

I'm realizing it's been a long time since I've been to Universal.

I also never went on Backdraft, because the idea of being trapped in a burning building scared the bejesus out of me for some reason.
  • edited September 2012
I went before T2. I always hated them for that. :p

E.T. is still at Universal Studios Florida. Backdraft and Back to the Future is still at Universal Studios Japan. Although, there's a language barrier for the latter two.

When did this turn into a discussion over E.T., Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park?

Watched Raiders' on Blu Ray last night. The transfer is.... pretty good. They did what they could from 1981 footage. Nothing is perfectly clear and the old camera mistakes are still visible like the flickering car going off the cliff and the pane of glass in the chamber. At least he didn't go and re-shoot anything. Right? Right. Considering I only bought this for 2 movies, I do feel as though I over-paid. As I said, the transfer and "restoration" of Raiders' wasn't fantastic and ,since it is supposed to be the most meticulously done of the movies, I don't have high hopes for 'Crusade. Unless you don't have the movies, I'd probably wait for a price drop on this one. You're not missing much.

But, there is owning it on blu ray. I honestly don't care if it's on blu ray though. I still have my VCR around. Any one else still use a VCR?

My point is that you can't get something like Star Wars on Blu Ray without it being heavily edited.

I have one behind a chair with my Dreamcast and PS2. I still pull the latter two out every now and then (I just pulled out the PS2 because Yakuza came from my Blockbuster Online queue), but it's been a while since I've used the VCR.

They are good for movies that are good and pass the time. Good stories that you really don't care if they have high def. But for anything you actually really care about I guess the crisp definition is better. :)

I have movies like Alien Nation on VHS . I'd like to meet some one here who watches Alien Nation.

    I don't even have a TV.

But my parents have one of those old DVD/VCR combo thingees. Which is really necessary, considering the number of tapes we have.

We did have my old TV with built-in VCR, but I think my parents got rid of it. :( Now how will I watch Shooting Stars? Or, to bring this conversation back on-topic, my VHS copy of Young Indiana Jones and the Phantom Train of Doom? (And you thought Crystal Skull had a clunky title)
