It's all Greek to me!

Am I the only non ‘gamer’, just TWD obsessed person, playing this game? I haven’t played a video game since the original Mario and had no idea what to expect w/ TWD game. Got eaten right out of the gate by the cop. I found the shotgun shell but didn’t know to pan around and find the shotgun.:o Wanted dialogue to the effect of ‘Really dude? You’re sworn to serve and protect’!!! I did finally make it through Episode 1 – although w/o the help I received here I would still be at the farm staring at the fence. I’m looking forward to Episode 2, hoping that what I learned from Episode 1 (explore EVERYTHING) will help me out. I haven’t read the comics, so most of the game characters are new to me. I am a religious follower of the TV series though and was wondering if Clementine is a nod to Sophia?

I think the lack of comments means that aye, you are the only non-gamer playing haha.

Also, I don't see the connection between clem and Sophia, are you saying that

    *SPOILER*

Clem will die in the game as Sophia died in the TV series?

    *SPOILER*

If so, I doubt it as the game is based on the comic not the TV series, and plus, the game is about protecting clem, so it would kind of lose some of the emotional value if it were just Lee you had to mainly look out for.

I know, right?! I’m the odd man out. That's ok; I'll just hang out and try to be as un-annoying as possible w/ my pleas for help w/ each episode. :0)

No, I don’t think Clem will die. I realize I had that ass-backwards. I’ve been avoiding the comics (the last thing I need is something else to obsess over) but I think I’ll make the investment.

Aye, you should buy them, they're a really good read.

Oh, no problem really. You're the best kind of newbie we have here. ;)

And TWD game is probably so unusual that you won't be able to use the experience you gather on many other games anyway, so... carry on!

I would recomend using the mode with all the UI on if you're having trouble, other than that you can count on my help.

I love it here. I'm a lookie loo... w/o much to say. I understand what you're sayin though. I got killed by the cop about 5 times before I quit panicking and reminded myself that it was a) a game, b) a game drawn out like a comic book, and c) a game.
I seriously had to wait til the next morning to start playing again. haha

Well, I don't know what 'UI' is (total game rookie here), but I've got all the hint stuff turned on. I did finally finish Episode 1; my biggest problem is a spastic cursor - it's so friggin' hard to get it settled on where I want it to be. I kept slowing the cursor speed down but finally took someones advice and sped it up - that actually helped a lot. And thank YOU for being willing to help!

We must be related. :0) I'm really enjoying this game but it stresses me out. I knew from what I'd read here that I was going to get yelled at by Hershel no matter what I did and it took 2 days before I could face that. (yes, I know I'm a dork) I think I'm going to spend a session getting killed as many times as possible and see if that helps.

Puhlease I bet 75% of the people here {myself included} Can never bring themselves to Harvest a single Little Sister in Bioshock. being empathetic isn't a weakness even it's to fictional characters

Ok. Either you responded in the wrong thread or more than likely I understood just enough of that to respond sounding like an idiot. I totally get the last sentence but need non-gamer translation for "harvest a single little sister in bioshock".

Ok ... It is Easy To Empathasize with Fictional Characters if the Staff Behind Designing and Creating those Characters has done their jobs right

So gamers have a heart too, who knew? :0) Seriously, thanks for getting out the red crayon and flash cards for me. But those next few posts - I don't know if you guys are really talking about another game or yanking my chain!

Bioshock a game about an underwater city thats gone mad and you can either rip these energy slugs out of these little mutated girls to boost yourself {which kills them} or cure them and turn them into normal little girls for a slightly lesser reward but ultimately you get more later on.

I saved all the Little Sisters on my first trip through Bioshock, a few years back. I keep meaning to go back and play the "evil" approach, harvesting all of them -- but I have not been able to bring myself to do it!

I got the Compendium version. Really wanted individuals w/ the awesome color covers but couldn't justify the cost. Now just to carve out some reading time.
