Recreate Your Favourite Scenes From Film

Recreate Your Favourite Scenes From Film

This is a thread for posting links to either video or audio recreations of your favourite scenes from various movies. You can either play it straight or turn a scene into a parody.

I'll kick things off with this audition I made for Steky's adventure game, 'ShipAntics'...

I've just had the most brilliant idea for this, but I'll need to pick up a wig of some sort for it to work. If the mods could avoid locking the thread for a couple of days, I'll sort something out.

Hmm, looking forward to it. :)

Why the assumption that the thread would be locked?

At worst, surely it would just be moved to the 'Forum Games' section.

'cause the last time you started a thread like this, it got locked before I could post anything in it. Just erring on the side of caution is all. No offence intended. :)

Oh, I see. I believe that thread was locked because the picture I posted was kinda rude and the nature of the thread itself was an invitation to a slew of rude pictures!

If I had better recording equipment I'd give it a shot.
(But as one could tell from my godaweful attempt at karaoke, I don't have the tech to make anything sound like anything really! XD)

Don't ever! EVER! Mention that movie again!

It makes me so very sad everytime I remember it... :'(

Way to link to the only redeemable scene from an otherwise shite film! :p

The trailer for 'Be Kind Rewind' made the film look brilliant. My Girlfriend and I were so disappointed when we eventually rented it.

That's ten kinds of awesome, Wolfy. You're like the Romanian Tom Cruise (that is a compliment by the way)!

Oh, now how the hell am I gonna compare to THAT. Dammit, quit being so awesome!

For some reason, this makes me want to sing the opera bit from the end of Futurama and do all of the voices (badly). Also, I would probably take everything up a fourth or so so that it would be in my range.

    Seriously, that would be sweet!

Maybe it's because I am currently horizontal, but my first attempt was pretty damn lousy. And that was just practice! I might be able to do it if I record myself in short clips and then splice them together or something. Just so that my voice can have a moment to switch between the different ranges.

I would definitely recommend that method. I often do the same when I'm recording, for example; my 'Gladiator' audio was achieved this way. Whilst I can change voices within a single recording, it's certainly a lot harder to maintain consistency, as this single recording will attest.

This is a great thread. I've actually had ideas for a Robot Chicken style sketch show in my head for quite a while, so this gives me a good excuse to get some of them done. :D

"Back to the Future: Super Short Edition" or "Why Location and Time Matter in Time Travel"

That would be great. You should definitely do it. I'd like to take your idea and run with it, if you don't mind, and sing the Bureaucrat song from Futurama. :)

    Hahaha! Thanks! :D
I've been told that before and I like Tom Cruise, his acting is quite cool! So, thank you for the compliment ^^
Oh, now how the hell am I gonna compare to THAT. Dammit, quit being so awesome!

Easy: Don't compare! If I would compare to all the people who have REAL budgets for their movies, I'd get depressed!
Analyze what you can do at the level you are right now and see where you can improve. The best thing about making movies is that you can always do better. You learn and improve ALL your life, there is no top.

So DO stuff and show us!! I wanna see!

Oh that one is epic! DO IT!!! And give it your best shot... if you hold back, you'll never be able to go beyond your limits ;)

That was my way of complimenting you. I'm not competing with you :p

EDIT: Doing something completely different now. Hope you like singing!

EDIT2: Here you go. Enjoy my awful voice in all its glory! I did try to synch it up to the movie, but there's a short bit of music before the second verse in the karaoke version, so it didn't match up. :(

May do some actual "acting" after I've finished my latest review.

Haha. Great work on rewriting the lyrics. As for the singing...

    :p

Oh not bad!! Practice makes perfect!

Well, who wants to try a duet?
  • edited June 2012
I once offered to do a duet that never happened. So, I'm totally game, and I'm a fairly decent singer (well, my French is kinda all over the place, but I'm okay with German and Italian pronunciations for the most part).
  • edited June 2012
Hmmm... any male duets that are worth looking into? I'm okay with anything, from real musicals to Disney.

As long as it's cool :p

Would we have to be in the same room? Cause if not, I'd love to try something from "the Producers."

Never seen it! Link to the scene/song from the musical pls? ^^ Of course, the song you wanna try.

I'm up for a duet too. :) If you want to simplify things, SingSnap has a system that automates duets, and they have a pretty good selection of free songs for duet that don't require a membership. :)
