Three times playtrough I have played so far..
One for the first playthrough (a lot of mistakes from the chosen dialogue), another one for the wise decision to choose Carley and one for Doug..
Errr... would you be against adding an "I didn't even finish the first episode once yet!" option? I think there might be some people to which that applies!!
First playthrough = Lee as a nice guy, saving Carly and generally doing the right thing.
Second playthrough = Lee being a Jerk (especially to Kenny for not helping to save Shaun) and saving Doug over Carly.
Third playthrough (in progress) A slient Lee. I use "...." as a response every time.
Five. Three for myself, the rest with two of my friends. Technically, I didn't "play" as in "control" the last two but let the girls have a go. But it was pretty much "our" game, so that counts.

I played it 2 times so far, one to save Doug the other to save Carly. I will play it a few more times later after all 5 episodes comes out to see any big changes if I change the way I acted.
Right now I told the truth and was nice to Kenny, Maybe the next time I will lie and be a nice to Larry to see what changes could be made later on but now I don't see that much of changes since I watched people play on YouTube.
Probably 5th or 6th. I completed it a couple of times with various combinations before thinking about what my ideal games would be. I've got 2 saved, one where I fixed Carly's radio and saved her, the other where I kept the batteries and saved Doug. I'm undecided on what I'm using the 3rd space for, possibly a natural 1st playthrough game.
I'm not happy with Telltale. The delay has caused me to play the 1st episode to death instead of just letting the story progress naturally.

Very nice!! Same here.
However, once Episode 2 comes out, I'm afraid I'm going to have to start all over with Episode 1.

Woah, woah, woah.
There are no "wrong" choices, unless you died, then you made a wrong choice. But those always snap back to try again.
One playthrough for myself, another playthrough watching my boyfriend. I don't want to expose myself to too many paths and decisions until all five episodes are released. It feels more fun to stand by my choices and wonder what could have happened differently. c:
2. I'm sure as the episodes progress I'm going to want to start it over and play differently. Also, I only remember 3 save slots, so how are you guys playing so many saves?
Toooooo many, I think I have over 10:o. I can't stop, I think I have ruined the ability to go back and play through multiple times starting at Episode 1 once all 5 episodes come out. Unless I can start from episode 2 (providing we get it). Anyone know if that is a possibility and if so will it have a "previously on the walking dead" feature?

10??? I didn't find the game THAT re-playable. I would say maybe that wasn't so wise, but it's sort of Tell Tale's fault for being this late with episode 2.
I think so, though I haven't officially tried. I'm guessing it's likely because (at least on Windows) it looks like there's a folder named 'Telltale Games' (with all of Telltale's games there) with 'save_0.save' etc. files in 'The Walking Dead' folder.

You have three saves to begin with, and they will accompany you through the entire game (that means: You could be in episode 3, chapter 22 with the first save while the second is still at episode 1, chapter 8 and so forth). Every save slot represents one of your stories, so to speak. I don't know where you are with your save slots, but you can start episode 2 with every slot in which you've completed chapter 8 of episode 1 (i.e. in which you've finished episode 1).
If you want to know which of your save slots have a "finished" episode one, there is a way:
Yup, this works. The savegames are located in the folder "The Walking Dead" under "Telltale Games" in your "Documents" folder. Make a copy of the entire folder and store them elsewhere. Not the most elegant solution, but it works. Just make sure it's the entire folder you copy, not just the save files. You have to include the "SyncFs" folder and prefs file as well. That's how it worked for me today...
will it have a "previously on the walking dead" feature?
The "previously on the walking dead" feature seems to be implemented. Jake has recently answered the question if starting with episode 2 is possible and has explained about default story developments you're starting out with if you choose to do so. In his answer, he has mentioned such a summing-up for episode 1 choices at the beginning of episode 2 which should also hold true for those who have actually played episode 1:
I played straight through to the end twice. I played a couple of extra times where I would end after an important decision and then start again. So those weren't real playthroughs since I didn't play to the end.

We both are at fault:rolleyes:I suppose. It is a little excessive, but this is how much I love TWD. I won't play ep 2 as much:rolleyes:
I've only played the first episode once and I will do the same for all the remaining episodes. After that I'll probably play through it a few more times to explore the different choices.
Great post Vainamoinen, thanks for taking the time.
I was hoping that would be the case, because 3 slots didn't feel enough, especially because I'm letting my brother use one.
just once
Cant redo things in RL wont redo it in this game.
I will have to live with the mistakes I made, maybe after all episodes are out and I am finished I wil start up a second play trough.

Four is my number!

Play on different computers or consoles.
Yeah, that seemed like the only way.

Mhmm! Or find the save game slots for the PC version and copy + paste the slots to a different folder.
So this is possible?

But you're welcome, of course...
/all right, I think I figured this out. Will update my above post.
