Just as a reminder, you'll all have to buy something for your 'target' by when the sale ends, which is probably at 6pm GMT July 23rd (as the last set of deals starts on the 22nd)
I got Second Sight and Insecticide Part 1. Thank you secret santa!
I came across those titles googling for games similar to Psychonauts. Now I know Psychonauts is unique and there's nothing really like it, but I was hoping to find something that would capture some small essence of it. From what I've read about them they most likely won't live up to that, but I got curious enough about them to want to play them. They're also the kind of titles I probably wouldn't end up buying myself, so I thought it was a good idea to put them on my wishlist for the secret santa thing.

Dream Machine has you jump into other peoples' brains and deal with manifestations of their psyche in puzzles. Double Fine's catalog of games is obviously also a good place to look, I particularly recommend Stacking.

Yeah, I got The Dream Machine for my birthday last year and love it. I wish I didn't have to wait half a year between episodes though. Stacking is also one of my favorites and I think Costume Quest has that same wonderful Double Fine flavor even if it's more repetitive.
I wish more of their console exclusives would be ported to PC, since my only console is the Wii I use to play co-op platformers with my wife. I'm very excited about Ron Gilbert's The Cave and the Double Fine Adventure too.
So when does the sale end exactly? I've already sent and received gifts but thought I might pick up some games that are discounted by haven't been a specific deal yet.
I know one of the people in question, and will talk to their gifter as soon as I get off work. I will have to see what happened with the other. But one person bought their gifts and has yet to send them.
Also, some of the gifter/giftees were swapped, but everyone who got switched both gave and received gifts. I will reveal everyone tonight once we sort out the last two.
Unfortunately, there was some mix up with Jake's gift to his recipient, so it will come shortly. (Sorry Marsden!) But since everyone else gave and received, here's the list:
Will put out a thanks to Divisionten for co-running this with me this time and doing the vast majority of the work once the event started proper.
Thanks to both of you for running this. And thanks again for the games lovetodo22.
I've played a bit of Incecticide now and it's a pretty interesting genre crossover. It's part 3D platformer, part adventure game, and both gameplay elements are surprisingly well made. Doesn't feel like either is just tacked onto the game as an afterthought.
Finally got my stuff, with extras! Yay Jake! You so awesome! I look forward to feeling slightly disappointed with Harley Quinn (though how that should even be possible just boggles the mind). Woo!

The Commander Keen complete pack may be the best you got.:D

So I've gotten late into part 3 already. I just got onto the bridge. Here's my rough chain of thought.
'I made it! What the heck is going on? What in the hell is that? Why is there vomit all over my keyboard? '

Any thoughts on how it went? Stuff that can be better?
What if, now just hear me out, instead of randomly giving everyone a target, everyone just bought games for me?
That's a great idea. And then you will et everyone the id software complete pack. Let's make it that next christmas.:)
