Episode 2 choices/ SPOILERS!

AWWWW YEAAAHH

EPISODE 2 IS OUT

LET'S SEE THOSE CHOICES!!!!
Chopped of the teacher's leg. If I need to walk with a limp, than he does too.

Did not shoot Jane. I knew she was talking some truth in her crazed ramblings

Didn't help kill Larry. Damn it, we could have given it a chance, if he got back up than we could have thrown the salt lick! And I don't like how Lee now treats Kenny like an asshole, I understand why it needed to be done, and now Lee's acting like an idiot

Didn't kill the brothers. Not in front of Clementine, not in front of my temp 'daughter'

Stole food from the car. Man, I feel bad I did it in front of Clementine, but our people needed food. If only there was a way to stick around the car for a while, or maybe only take some of the food.

I was a really good step dad through episode 1, but I let it down a bit in two I let her eat the human. She witnessed me killing both brothers. I don't take no shit. But I reasssured her that they were going to hurt her/us so she was fine wid it. Allthough I can see her turning into a physopath next episode and you have to fight her.

    SPOILERS

I chopped the guys leg off. To be honest, I didn't realise I had any other option, I just went straight for the chop. What does that say about me? >_>

I shot the crazy woman. I kept holding off, and then she said something like "I'm gonna go back to that camp and kill all your friends" - at that point I was like "bitch can try!" and so I shot her. In the face.

I didn't help kill Larry, and good thing too (sort of). Don't know if anyone else noticed, but when giving CPR to Larry, you can see him start to breathe again, right before Kenny... y'know... murders him. I didn't like Kenny at all in this episode.

I didn't kill either brother, simply because Clementine was there. Had she not been, that guy was getting a pitchfork in the face.

I chose to take food from the car. Can't please everyone all of the time - we needed the food. If we didn't take it, I'm sure the bandits would have.

    • Chopped the leg
    • Didn't shoot
    • Tried to save Larry
    • Killed both brothers
    • Didn't steal.

I didn't realise Clem was there for the first brother, and once the damage was done with him, I wasn't about to relent with the other.

The stealing decision didn't seem like a big deal, but it might come to bear more in Ep 3?

Chopped the leg off - was only way of saving him.

Didn't shoot - the 2 brothers were obviously dodgy.

Tried to save Larry - Was hoping you might end up getting on with him at some point, either that or I was wanting to keep sweet with his daughter.:o

Killed 1st brother - Felt a bit guilty Clementine witnessed the 1st one.

Took the food - All of it, wonder if you can just take some and if that will have an effect?

Ok I have a serious question.

HOW DO YOU NOT CHOP OFF THE LEG?

I literally sat for 10 minutes and Kenny fired infinite bullets at the never approaching walkers

That is my question ... is there an alternative to chopping the leg off??? PC player here; haven't got E2 yet but NOT worried about spoilers - they help me! While I have no problem w/ hammering the head of the WD babysitter, I'm not sure I can hack the leg off a warm-blooded person. Yes, I realize I'm a wuss and would probably get used for walker bait.

no, there is no other alternative. Although there really is because I know how those traps work, it is just a matter of compressing the two metal springs on the side. This can be accomplished by stepping on them, then the jaws will release. But for plot reasons and possibly because the heroes do not understand how a spring works... the only method available to free the guy given is chopping his leg.

    SPOILERS:

I chopped the leg, a life is a life, and I had to at least try and save him.

I try to draw the line at human life, so I didnt shoot the lady (even though she was kind of like the childsnatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)

I tried to save Larry. I know he was kind of a dick at times, but he started being nice to me at some points (even if he was swearing every other word). he may have been a dick, but that is not an excuse to do the reverse-Mario on him and drop a brick on his head.

Wasnt going to kill a man right in front of Clem and Lilly, besides, he wasnt going anywhere anytime soon. Brother no.2 I did put some thinking in to, but I figured he had to suffer the consequences of his actions, just like Brenda and the Mark-walker.

Didnt steal, Queen Clem knows all. Also, the car had just stopped, if you went out to take a leak and found all of your stuff is missing, you wouldn't be too happy.

also, what is it with TWG and Barns?

I picked to say "STOP, IT'S PEOPLE" and she still ate it :(

Anyways, I chopped off his leg, I've read enough of the comic to know it was the only way.

I tried my best to calm her down, it almost felt like she was about to calm down but then she died, I was sad... Although I knew she would die, I wanted more info from her.

I hated this choice... I knew Lilly would hate me, but I knew that, no matter what, Larry would eventually cause trouble, even if he lived. I spent the entire episode being nice to him, since I kept siding with Kenny in Episode 1. But I also tried to remain neutral-ish in this episode between he and Lilly. I eventually sided with Kenny before this moment though.

I left Danny in the barn, alive, because there's no way I was killing a man directly in front of Clem, I fixed a damn swing for that angel, I'mma keep her out of all harm's way. I also left Andy there, I kind of hoped I could have used the pointy fence post since it was so major, but I bet that's how you eventually kill him anyways, I left because, I am the better man.

I knew I needed that supplies, but I didn't say "We shouldn't take it" I said "Clem and I are staying out of it", because I knew they needed it, and this way, my group has food... IT's just us two that are left out now...
  • edited June 2012
My first choice was to cut the teacher's his leg off, but then he begged me not to and I heard someone shout about cutting the chain, so I gave it a go, realised it wasn't going to work, and ended up cutting his leg off anyway.

I gave food to Clem, Duck, Carly and Larry. Clem and Duck because they're kids, Carly because she has my back and we trust each other. Carly also told me that I should give food to Larry to get on Lily's good side, so I did. Even though I was against her in episode 1, I felt sorry for her. She was obviously under a lot of pressure.

I shot the woman at the camp. I was seriously considering letting her live until she started threatening to shoot my balls off - at that point I realised she was beyond reasoning and killed her before she killed one of us. Afterwards, I actually felt really guilty about it. It's a choice I regret making, but in the spirit of things, I'm going to stick with it, since it's impossible to rewind time irl.

I supported Kenny when he said we should kill Larry. He had a heart attack and we didn't have any medicine with us - he was as good as dead.

I let both brothers live. I would never reduce myself to their level.

As for the car, I actually spent a good few minutes thinking about this. In the end, I took the food because:

    - Obviously, we needed it.
    - Secondly, what if the original occupants never came back? The food would just go to waste.
    - If we didn't take it, the bandits would have anyway.

Chopped the leg off right away... time was pressing and I just didn't see any other sensible way to save his life.

Didn't shoot the woman, although I kinda regret this. She clearly went crazy and could have easily killed me right there on the spot. Wouldn't want that to happen during a real apocalypse, now would we?

I tried to save Larry, but had a very bad feeling through all of it. That was pretty risky and I'm somewhat glad Kenny did what he did while also taking all the blame for it. Not a huge fan of Kenny anymore, though - he's quick to protect his family, but I doubt he'd do the same with his wife or kid, if it came to it. Of course, that's to be expected of a father and husband... but he's got a temper and may jeopardize the whole group some day soon.

I killed the first brother without too much thinking. They cut Mark's legs off and served them for dinner, ffs... I just wanted to end his life, once and for all.
... however, I didn't realize the effect it'd have on Clementine until it was too late. Didn't kill the second brother partly because of that. I mean I would have finished him gladly, but doing that a second time in front of Clem and the whole group? Nope, already felt guilty enough.

Not guilty enough to leave the supplies in the car, though. I figured the owners wouldn't need it anymore, seeing as they left their car without gas and full lights on in the middle of the forest. At least I hope so. I did call out my intention to help when approaching the car and noone responded - either because there was noone there or because they were scared of our group. Hopefully the former...

... hated to steal in front of Clementine, though. She didn't seem to happy about it, but if we got no food we ain't gonna survive long anyway.

I tortured the poor guy in the trap lol! wasted time and then hacked his leg until it only needed one more swing then kenny pulled me away and said theres no time! then just left him there for the walkers, on purpose too! i want my game to be aa depressing as the comics lol

I chopped off the leg, after trying everything else.

I didn't shoot the woman. I was suspicious of the farm the minute I saw the two brothers, and I wanted to learn as much as I could from her.

I tried to save Larry... I knew killing him was the smart thing to do for so many reasons, but I figured I'd at least try! Plus, Clem was there...

Spared both brothers... Again, because of Clem. Though I really really wanted to kill the guy in the barn. I figured the second one was dead anyway...

I took the supplies -- we were starving, and had just been through an ordeal... We needed something! Was surprised when only Kenny and Katjaa seemed to support that decision though, and immediately felt bad when Clem shamed me when I handed her the hoodie. She seemed to accept my explanation though.

So disappointed in Kenny. He was my bro in Episode 1, but that friendship seems doomed at this point.

    • Chopped the leg | Didn't even bother to try chopping the chain.
    • Didn't shoot | Was about to then he did it for me.
    • Killed Larry | I thought there was no hope and I didn't want to take the chance getting bit.
    • Killed both brothers | They tried to eat us and already ate one of our group members so why not kill them.
    • Stole from the car | We needed food and I'm going to do whats best for our group.

Wrong. I tried to pry open the trap, used a stick on it, tried to chop the chain, dropped a rock on the chain, then after all that failed I started hacking at his leg.

I got thru three hacks or so and then got pulled away leaving him for dead. Travis (I think the kids name was) went to grab the gun from Mark and got shot, he was then picked up and taken with us to camp. Leaving the teacher to die and get eaten by the walkers.
  • edited June 2012
Chopped David's leg off | I didn't really see another, viable, option. I knew the guy could die, buf if I didn't cut him loose he'd definitely die.
Did not shoot Jolene | Finding the video tape and hearing Danny say "oh, good" when I told him the batteries were missing made me suspicious, and Jolene's rambling just made me more suspicious, so I didn't shoot, hoping she would spill the beans.
Tried to save Larry | My Lee hates Larry something fierce, but I'm not about to "kill" (maybe he was already dead, maybe not) a helpless man because he MIGHT become a threat. Plus, Kenny's always acting way too impulsive whereas Iforgothername seems to think things through more, so I'd rather have her on my side. Kenny may leave for all I care. I don't like the fact that he'd throw the whole group under a bus to help his wife and son eitehr, though I do understand it.
Killed the younger brother, not the older | The asshole just freaked me out and I didn't think he deserved to live, plus I didn't want him to survive and do this to more people. I never anticipated that Clementine might've come out to witness the whole rodeal, or I might've acted differently. So when I had the chance to kill the older brother I settled for punching his face in before leaving him to a certain death, rather than having Clementine witness me kill another man.
Did not steal food from the car | I'd damaged Clementine's trust enough already with the killing of Danny, so I decided not to steal the food, especially since it wouldn't affect the rest of the group either.
  • edited June 2012
    • Chopped the leg | Yep, I had to save the guy somehow.
    • Didn't shoot | I was going to, but I wanted to see what she knew about them.
    • Killed Larry | I tried to save him. Even if he is a jerk who tried to murder me, he did save my life at the beginning with the teacher. I wanted to make things even with us.
    • Killed both brothers | Killed the first, and walked away from the second. A much crueler fate realizing his family members are dead AND his defenses for the barn are down. A much sadder way to die if I do say so myself.
    • Stole from the food | I didn't steal any of the food, Clem was right when she said it could have been someone else's. We could have just stolen from the crazy bandits for all we know.

I eventually had to take his leg, but I was too late still. I felt horrible. I tried everything at first, but nothing was working, by the time I had chosen to do what needed to be done, the Walkers were upon us. So I put a man through mental and physical anguish, and then I let him be eaten. Sigh.... Could you kill him with the axe?

I didn't shoot the woman. I did not know she would ramble on giving me insights about the family, but it turns out it was the right thing to do. The first option I chose silence, the second option I told her to drop the cross-bow, she was shot soon afterwards.

I tried to save Larry, surprisingly. I was giving Larry the same courtesy I gave Duck. It was so shocking to be performing CPR on a guy, then watch his face cave in as I was pumping his chest. Kenny and me are finished. I have realised he only cares about his family and other peoples feelings can be damned. Don't worry, him and Duck will die soon. I feel sorry for Kat. Not surprisingly I only spoke to Larry once in episode 2, the scene involving the axe. I usually avoided him and he only spoke when I was speaking to his daughter, but he was a caustic person so I avoided him in usual play, and him and Lee only interacted when other characters brought us together.

I killed the first one, and left the second one up to the Walkers. What they did man, was wrong. If Clem wasn't there I would have killed both. She was shocked at the first killing, so her presence spared the second brother. In retrospect I should have left both to the Walkers for being predators and monsters.

I took the supplies. I did not want to take all, but we were forced to.

Gave cheese and crackers to Duck and Larry, apple to Carly and jerky to Clem.
Tried to save the teacher, nothing worked, cut off his leg in the end.
Didn't shoot the woman, wanted more info.
I regret helping Kenny kill Larry... Kenny's turning out to be a real dick, which is a shame because we were good friends in episode 1.
    Killed both brothers.

I stole the food and supplies from the car at the end... kind've hope they explore this decision in episode 3.

Door left open, lights on and no gas? There were no tire marks or signs of damage to the vehicle. Seemed like they had time to park (in the woods?)... but they didn't turn off the lights or close the door? Either they intended to come back or they left in a hurry. I assumed the latter.
  • edited June 2012
I chopped off the leg. I had to go back and play through the scene again though as the first time I ran out of time before Lee was done. He was only one chop away from being cut free as well... =/

I gave the food to Clemantine (apple), Duck (crackers), Mark (crackers) and Larry (jerky, for a JERK!) I hate Larry, but he was working on the wall and I thought it would keep in good with Lily to feed her dad. Feeding Duck seemed to be enough to keep in good with Kenny and his wife. I would have preferred to feed Doug over Larry though. Maybe next playthrough I will.

I didnt shoot the woman. It was obvious she was trying to warn us about something and that she was more afraid of us than we were of her.

I waited too long over deciding what to do about Larry. Kenny called me useless and killed him. He doesnt seem to hate me at this point, but he did make a comment about at least one of them needing to be strong enough to make hard decisions. Think I'm gonna reload once I get home from work and try that scene again.

Thats as far as I got so far :D

i have a question what weapon did everyone choose the tazer or the other 2??

I used the tazer as well. To me a tazer would be more effective since usually in real life, tazers drop grown men like flies. Apparently the dude in the barn is a truck, he took the shock and fought back... Lilly came to me rescue and Scythed the guy in the collar bone!

As for food. I obviously gave Clem and the idiot Duck cheese and crackers, I gave Mark the apple. Larry wasn't getting anything from me at the time, Kat was busy and Doug is a big boy ( he eventually got food anyway afterwards ) I like having Doug around, he does great things and even adds comedy, when he grabbed the basket from Momma St. John his face was hilarious. I tried to give Lilly the jerky, but she said she didn't want anything from me, so I ate it myself.

    - Chopped the leg. Didn't even realise there was an option not to until afterwards.
    - Didn't shoot the woman. I was fully intending to shoot her (she had a fucking crossbow pointed at my face), but I wanted to pump her for information first, so I kept her talking.
    - Tried to save Larry. Doesn't really need explaining.
    - Killed the first brother in a blind rage, but after seeing Clem's reaction I let the second one live.
    - I didn't take the food, which may have been a mistake in the long run, but I still felt guilty about what Clem saw me do.

    Here's what I did:-

    1) Chopped off leg. Didn't think there was any other way.

    2) Fed the kids, Mark and Larry. Carley didn't want food, Katja was busy and Kenny was happy that I fed Doug - so it's all a win-win situation. I fed Larry to get on Lilly's good side.

    3) I couldn't shoot Jolene. I thought Lee had too much blood on his hands, and he needs to make amends.

    4) Tried to save Larry. He was an asshole, but he didn't leak out Lee's secret. Besides, Kenny acted on impulse.

    5) Didn't kill the brothers. Lee's a convicted murderer and the group might find out soon enough - so he's got to be on his best behaviour.

    6) Didn't say a word when Kenny wanted a word with Lee pertaining to him killing Larry. He seemed to understand and lamented that he is now a monster for letting Shawn and now Larry die. Need to keep an eye on this man - sure, he offered Lee a place in his RV, but he'd shoot Lee the first chance if he had to choose between Lee and his family.

    7) I took the stuff. It puts Lee in a position of leadership (I think) instead of Lilly or Kenny. Since Lilly is emotionally unstable and Kenny is implusive, Lee needs to be seen as in control and being able to take care of the group. Clementine sulked, but she needs to be fed.

    LET'S SEE THOSE CHOICES!!!!

The teachers leg had to go.

I did not shoot Jane, because i hesitate to much in that situation. Damnit, someone points a crossbow at me and i dont shot them?

Didn't help kill Larry. I tried to help Lily. But i wish i later could tell Kenny that dont hold his actions against him.

Killed the brothers. I decided this in the meatlocker. Regardless i would never allow either of them to gain the upperhand again. Clementine is going to have to learn what kind of a world we live in.

Stole food from the car. Our group really needed the food, simple as that. If Clementine see me loot. Well, this is the world we live in now.
