Game dosen't launch

Used to be able to play the game on steam and now it is the only game that won't launch. Did all the things the troubleshooting says to do and it didn't work, when i click to play the launching box appears and then it almost seems as if it cancels itself, help?

    Forget it step, I'm afraid this user is talking about a completely different thing entirely unrelated to your problem. :(

    Mine won't work on steam, either. Episode 1 works just fine. Downloaded episode two. It's installed (at least it says so under "episode status") but when I try to start the game the screen goes black and that's it.

    Same here. I'm on Mac, Steam. No problems with ep.1 but when i launched the game again, it's stuck on CONNECTING.

    I had to disable my internet then i was able to access the main menu.

    WHY?

    Ya I can't launch the game from Steam or any other way. I also have followed all the troubleshooting instructions from Steam and Telltale.
    Windows 7.

    Any ideas?

    This game still will not launch for me. I played Episode 1 fine with the exception of a lot of slowdown. There is no error... just trying to run the game, steam changing my status to in-game and then it changing to online and out of the game shortly afterwards. I think I made a mistake purchasing this game on PC through steam as my PSN version has worked alright.. (yes, I foolishly bought this game twice). Telltale has not seemed to respond to many of these issues, how do we get them to pay attention and sort this out?

    Whenever my launcher got stuck at connecting, it worked after I tabbed out and returned. I suggest trying that.
