Can we get a Lee that calls people out on stuff?
Pretty much what it says on the tin. We already have a Lee that spends more time falling down than Gerald Ford (seriously, it's like Lee has OCD when it comes to proving Sir Isaac Newton right about this whole "gravity" fad). The poor guy already loses every bout of fisticuffs with another living person unless he has someone there to bail him out. Sure, I can understand that since the guy's a college professor (although, his constant failures with the whole "gravity" thing and his inability to remain vertical are harder to explain), but at a minimum he should be able to call people out on hypocrisy, etc. during verbal confrontations. If he's not going to change somebody's opinion, get treated like garbage anyway, etc. atleast let the poor guy respond in kind, it's more satisfying.
For example, Larry never seemed to be aware of the fact that Lee saved his life, simply because the option never comes up. Kenny seems to have frequent bouts of amnesia/bipolar disorder, e.g. he talks down to Lee in Episode 2 for trying to save Shawn, despite the fact that Kenny himself admits that "we could've saved that boy" in Episode 1, likewise, when he jumps on Lee for being a worthless horrible person, there's no "Yeah... I fed your family and outright saved the lives of your wife and kid" option that lets you whack him upside the head with facts.

in the meat locker, after kenny basically murders larry. he has the nerve to tell me to "hurry the fuck up!", i wanted to respond with "eat a dick!" or at least a confrontation option.
then, when i go to lilly to ask her about the coins. she hits me with "you want permission to loot my fathers body??" lee responds so passively that it sent me into a fury spiral.
give me my this is a leetatorship options, so i can put these selfish, greedy fucks in check
I know that the writer's have a direction for Lee and we're just along for the ride with the exception of a few choices that determine who likes you or not. I really want to jump in there and do what I want to do.
Damn my better understanding of the zombie apocalypse!
I agree with jumping in and doing what I want to do...then again...I wanted to leave the farm right after the eletric fence was some how switched back on. When that happened it was a huge red flag to me.
Walking Dead Series 2: Frontier Justice!
*Set scene, your typical western*
"The dead may walk the earth..."
*Lee rides on riding a horse and wearing a cowboy hat*
"But justice, my justice, never dies. My name is Sheriff Professor Lee Everatt..."
It would be awesome...
Lee is just the queen's figurehead
That sounds damn cool to me! LOL
Yeah, to me too.
That is an awesome idea and I would definitely take part.
You can tell Kenny that you saved his family at the end of EP 2, but he responds by saying he did by killing Larry and not being stuck with a zombie.
Which made him a dick in my books - they didn't know for sure if Larry was dead. And Lee made a lot of sacrifices for Kaatja and Duck.
Seriously, how could anyone not notice tons and tons of suspicious behavior from these guys. While playing I must've said to my wife four times that I don't trust these damned farmers.
On topic: There should be opportunities where Lee is more aggressive and confident... I like to play Lee as a tough guy but with such personality contrasting with his affection for children... So he takes care of Clementine, and Duck but he has no patience regarding bandits and what not...
Well, that does kinda come up. Lee points out that the fence came back on, which pinned between the fence and the bandits, then we get a weak excuse from Andy about how he heard us yell and assumed that was an all clear to turn it back on.
Of course, you can't call them out on that... since not only is that a lame idea of an "all clear", but the fence was turned back on immediately before the attack or any yelling.
I don't expect Lee to start oozing so much snark that he drowns people with it, but I would start calling people out on their crap. As it stands Lee comes across as folding when any confrontation (physical or verbal) comes up. The guy's just been standing there and taking everybody's crap for two episodes.
The meat locker was such a wasted oppurtunity, would've been a great time for Lee to step up and be assertive, especially with Kenny: "Either help with Larry/finding a way out of here, or go put on your dunce cap, sit in the corner quietly and stay the hell out of my way."
Though, I think that'd be a brave way to go so let's see it TT!
I was surprised it became a Lilly vs Kenny situation. I was expecting it to be a Lee vs Lilly thing. It seemed that Lee took control of things in episode one, and she looked annoyed at Lee at the end when he motioned her to stay out of it when Glenn was saying he was leaving.
And it seemed I took control of things in episode 2 as well.
