Telltales Roobed the European Fans

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
This is just ridiculous, they haven't said a single thing about episode two release date for PSN EU,... by this rate it looks like we will never get the game,

I demand I refund

As soon as they eventually send out each episode (I got the season pass) I wont be buying anymore games from them.

    Maybe it's more sony's fault than TTG's.

    This can be the reason.

But guys, you are gonna stop buying games from TTG just for 2 delays?
  • edited July 2012
This is certainly an issue on Sony's side since the game is out on every other platform...

I'm dying to know what actually happened that caused this, even a sentence to let us know what happened would be good.

Two delays, no real communication with the people that pay their salaries, episode 2 is practically unplayable due to the, still unaddressed problem with Ep 1 choices not carrying over... etc., etc...

I bought the 'season pass' before Ep 1 was released. This was my first purchase from TTG. I'm giving them until the next Ep to make the "final" decision on whether or not I ever purchase from them again. I've been around the gaming block a few times, and I realize problems happen.. but a month long delay, and the 'choice bug' are severe IMO. If Ep 3 is released on time, and playable... I'll chalk it up to Murphy's Law... but if it's a repeat of Ep2? Yeah, I'll get the remaining episodes, but I'll never buy from them again... and I'm already telling my Facebook friends that they should be wary of TTG. And if the player base is at that point (I know I am not alone in that) -- the company really needs to look at that.

I agree, a friend of mine wanted to buy the season pass and I was quick to stop him doing it lol

    Yeah I agree with you

Well, I'm surprised that this isn't posted, but tweeted instead.

Telltale have tweeted this a bunch of hours ago:

We're working with our partners at SCEE to finalize a release date for The Walking Dead: Ep. 2 on PSN EU. We'll update as soon as we can.

So basically the exact same thing that the originally said when the PSN America release came out that went something like "we are working with sony to get it out to you soon"

Sorry guys doesn’t sound like it’s coming this week for you...
Sony has already placed the blame on Telltale, who have yet to say anything so I don't really no what to think.

Seems like they blaming each other....but i can't see what the problem can be.....if its ready to release elsewhere why does it differ for the EU?!

    Makes no sense?!

Considering the game was already delayed more than a month, this is just obnoxious. I'm sorry guys.
Normally I'd want to give tell tale the benefit of the doubt, but they should have made a post for you guys already giving you more info on what is taking so long!

It's a step in the right direction communication wise, even if it is merely a repeat of what they said a week ago. What gets me is their rigid refusal to use the a or d words - "apologise" and "delay". Seriously. They havent used either of those words. Ever. What does it say about a company if they refuse to admit wrong like that? Even if their "monthly schedule" was "misunderstood" as some die-hard TT fans would have you believe, you'd think that with all the ire thrown their way they'd swallow their pride and actually admit fault that "monthly releases" was taken perhaps....too literally.... :-/

Come back when they offer what Frozenbyte did with Trine 2 - a video apology and a 30% discount off the game. Granted it was a 3 month delay with those guys, but theres nothing coming from TT to indicate that its coming "soon".

I got a funny feeling that the game is cancelled for the EU PSN :(

Guys, use one thread for this stuff.

And OF COURSE it will come out on PSN. As opposed to the overall episode 2 delay, the delay between PSN US and EU is completely normal. The very same thing happened with previous games.
