Clementine Voice Actor Appreciation thread

edited August 2012 in The Walking Dead
Whoever is doing the voice work for Clementine is doing an amazing job. One sentence from her carries more emotional impact than most video games released these days. Even though she had less to say in episode 2 I really felt the disappointment from her when I had to kill some bad people, and the hope that I'd be okay when I had to leave her. Even playing with her on a swing, these actions in a game mean so much more than just killing people in a video game which seems to be most mainstream releases these days. I think if the voicework, and voice acting wasn't there for this character Telltale couldn't pull this off. So props to the voice actor, amazing job.

She's voiced by Melissa Hutchinson, who also played Stinky and Trixie.

Oh Wow even more impressive then! I never would have imagined it was the same person who did stinky

If there's a merge, I'd rather recommend a "voice actor" thread - as we already have a Dave Fennoy "appreciation thread" flying around here in which the devs chimed in. ;)

There just wasn't enough Clementine in episode 2... aaahhh well, more time to talk on the long road ahead.

Frankly? I wouldn't say she's a mismatch, but even though Melissa does a good job performing in a girl's voice, I still think she sounds too adult in her intonations at times.
It's a subtle thing, but it bugs me sometimes.

But... but... I thought she was voiced by a child...

It's a great voice acting what she has doing with Clem! My congratulations!

Besides, she sings like angels, as we could hear on "Back to the Future: The Game".
