Babies start out toothless, how exactly can they eat their way out?

Rip, kick, and gum their way out then?.. Imagine how dangerous having an undead kid inside of you, *trying* to eat you is. Dale got ripped apart on the show, no teeth involved. (Also why Michonne cut her walkers arms off, probably.) Granted a baby's not that strong, but they're also on the inside already, so it would take a whole lot longer... Reminds me of a Chest Burster situation. (Even seen alien? If not, shame on you, and look up "Alien chest burster scene" on youtube.)

Babies also do not have the neural pathways formed for basic motor control. It takes about three to six months for them to even learn how to roll over and sit up, let alone use their appendages in a manner precise enough to attack anything. Seeing as how the "disease" takes over the brain, I don't think it will suddenly turn unborn babies into alienesque inside shredders.

Do not fear the Walker Babies.

Yeah, well, we're talking about a Disease that makes human flesh unconsumable if the person dies, even if it's detached from the body before they die... I wouldn't put my money on ANYTHING it produces being harmless.

Again, only dangerous if you attempt to consume said Walker Baby...I really hope you aren't suggesting that this might be an actual possibility.

The point I was trying to make was that it is about as harmless as an actual baby. The Walkers are dangerous because of two things - their bites and their voracious attacks. Take away these two abilities, and they're no longer dangerous.

No, I'm saying we can't really say how it will effect it. Also, as a woman, surely you can see the non biting, clawing, risks of having an Undead Baby inside of you... The problem of sleep deprivation alone, from all of the unrelenting movement as it *Tries* to rip and eat its way out.. Not to mention the problems and complications that come with child birth, imagine when that thing has to come out (and it will have to come out). The mothers chances of survival, even if the disease doesn't affect it in a way to make it more dangerous than a baby, are still rather slim.

Also, since the mother and child are still connected... Could there be some carry over? What if the baby turning slowly kills the mother from the inside out due to the umbilical cord connecting them? What if the Placenta dies, then it just follows up the grapevine until all of the organs shut down?

And I'M saying that it wouldn't be any more dangerous than those situations are already (miscarriage and what not).

And if childbirth was so deadly as you like to say, it's a wonder that any species manages to propagate itself long enough to reach a bronze age, let alone post-industrial as we have.

I guess we'll have to settle for Clementine bneing Lee's surrogate daughter rather then breeding with Carley

thats where this argument started right?

Interesting, that: humans have one of the most needlessly complicated and dangerous forms of Child Birth seen in nature... The more you know.

Also, the amounts of women dying in child birth and children dying before maturity are the reason populations stayed so low. We really didn't hit our boom the Post-Industrial.

Look at the top of page 2, my two Paragraphs and what I'm replying to.

Low populations actually probably had more to do with disease and plagues due to lack of sanitation, etc. while populations were smaller, they were still sizeable. The Roman Empire had somewhere around 100 million people within its borders, the native population of North America was around 10 - 20 million (90+% of them were killed by plague prior to wide-scale European colonization), etc.

You could also partly attribute the lower populations of yesteryear on things like food production (or lack thereof), agriculture wasn't anywhere near as advanced and ancient peoples weren't getting anywhere near the same output per acre of farmland as modern people.

All of it adds up, of course.
