New Group Episode 3 new choices

After finishing straved to death we see a new group of people shall be joining our current group. It looks like the guy or is it girl? in the purple vest shall be very good at fighting do this mean we shall lose members through death or leaving with kenny??? will we have to choose a new character who skills may be fighting vs say someone like doug who is smart and if so who would you pick???

    It's clearly a woman, look at the still for episode 4 in the sewers.
    If that's a man, he has a massive rack of Man Boobs for his lack of stomach fat.

    PS: I pick the Women over the men, as rule of thumb. 1 Lee and 3 women (Lilly, Carley, and New Girl) can repopulate quicker and safer than 3 men (Lee, Doug, Ben) and 1 Lilly.

    See i'm not the only one who thinks the brief seconds we see of em looks like a guy.

    As I added in the PS

    I really hope it won't be a Carley or New Girl situation (and I doubt it will since she's in the episode 4 still), but I'd LOVE to choose her over, say... Katjaa, Ben, or Duck. ESPECIALLY Duck. (I put them in order of "least want to choose" to "most want to choose")

    yeah if i could keep carly and new girl that would be perfect as for having a team of women who can handle weapons and fight and as you stated repop the earth lol :)

    People who say they save the women so as to repopulate the earth clearly don't think very far ahead, you would not be able to repopulate the world safely with so few people, you'd need hundreds of men and women to make inbreeding less of a risk.

    I think its a little early to whip out the 'REPOPULATE TEH WORLDZ' card as there are still shambling zombies everywhere, could you imagine trying to find a safe place to give birth with those things around?

    I will pick whoever keeps us alive, we cant repopulate if we are dead, and besides, its not like we are the ONLY people left on earth, we just lost contact with them. If I lost contact with my facebook friends I wouldnt think they were dead.

    I guess it will depend on the situation. I chose Carley over Doug because we could repopulate and she had a gun. If the woman presents nothing to the group I may not save her. But the "re-population" factor is always on my mind.

    i'm leaning towards a guy in the purple jacket and the other looks a bit like duck if he grows older.

    I think the person with the purple jacket is a woman, no beard. And about the other guy? With this picture we can see that he has a bandage on his leg, and his shirt looks like Doug's, with a bear, dog or wathever. I think he is SO dead.

    Also, if they sync up and all have their "lady days" at the same time the ZA will be the least of your worries.

    Actually the numbers are the issue, not the ratio of men to women. The more women, the more fruitful the process will be. Women can die in Child Birth, and with the zombie apocalypse comes new complication of a dead baby eating its way out of the mother... More women can increase populations faster and also, if one woman dies in a tribe with a higher female to male ratio, the tribe is still alright. (Yah know, comparatively.)
    Technically you could get away with a smaller group, provided there's a large genetic variance. Also, someone who studied genetics and evolution told me that Inbreeding isn't as big of an issue as people think, so long as the brother/sister type doesn't recur in multiple generations. Stating the problem is "manageable"(Though father/daughter mother/son is a horrible idea, with Cousins and distant relatives being the safest option.) It leads it sterility if done among immediate family for too long (which is the real danger of inbreeding)... Also, while the problem of birth defects is higher than with an outsider of the family, cousin relations only carry a 2% higher risk of deformities.

    Native American tribes, like most tribes, are basically Families that grew to abnormal sizes. We're all related, and inbreeding has happened in every family tree (especially when the species was just starting out.)

    You can manage a population, if you know what you're doing. (Arranged marriages and such). Also having a tribal system, with alliances so that you can marry between tribes to keep bringing fresh genetics in is a given in long term survival... (I've been studying on this stuff for a while. Used to be a Mayan NeoPagan, so I was convinced such knowledge would come in handy in the future. XD)

    Right because all my jackets bulge around the breast region... :rolleyes:
    It's far more likely for a woman to lose her curves in a bulky Jacket than a man gain a rack from it.

    watched a clip of the preview i still think it's a guy

    BUT

    the hair is female 'ish'

    if it is a woman she is dressing in a very masculine way to hide her identity ?

    and she seems pretty skinny

    so time will tell

    She isn't dressed masculine... I see women dressed like that all the time during the winter. (And I'm from a southern state, where women still like to wear dresses, so...)

    well i have 3 playthroughs

    my choices /go with my gut before walkers eats them mostly good to clem

    2nd pro kenny good lee always doing everything nice to for clem

    3rd is pro lilly/larry bad rough angry lee

    the more i look at 'her' i see more female attributes but still it's a wierd looking person...

    yeah I was going to mention the face, but I don't have as good of excuse for why I know as you... In fact, my excuse would be "I watch a lot of anime, play a lot of games, etc."... :(

    Rip, kick, and gum their way out then?.. Imagine how dangerous having an undead kid inside of you, *trying* to eat you is. Dale got ripped apart on the show, no teeth involved. (Also why Michonne cut her walkers arms off, probably.) Granted a baby's not that strong, but they're also on the inside already, so it would take a whole lot longer... Reminds me of a Chest Burster situation. (Even seen alien? If not, shame on you, and look up "Alien chest burster scene" on youtube.)
