The game supposedly takes place in the timeframe when Rick Grimes is still in a coma.

I tried to find a timeline, but people only seem to make them for the show.

Also, "Facebook Timeline" has made searching impossible.

The game supposedly STARTED when Rick Grimes is still in a coma! But he was only comatose for about a month (according to wikia info, sorry). So he's alive and *well* somewhere in Lee's world.

The pre-prison timeline seems the most accurate at the end of episode 2. Considering Lilly leaves for Woodbury soon, it would make sense that it would take some time for her to get settled in Woodbury.

For that matter, how does this relate to Philip Blake's group from the novel series? There are currently three protagonist groups of survivors in the main Walking Dead Universe, Lee's story starting in the infection's first days, The Governor's story starting two weeks in, and Rick's story month or so in. Obviously, Philip and Brian don't ever encounter Lee's group since we now have their whole story. But things like the Wiltshire Estates section of the book, the use of comic characters in the video game, and the upcoming sequel novel at least build the framework for estimating these events in relation to one another.

Do we know for sure just how long Rick was in the coma? I assumed it was a month or two, but it's been a long time since I read the early volumes and don't remember if they said or not.

Considering the "Lilly incident" occurs around 9 months into the apocalypse, I think it's safe to assume we have not seen the last of Lilly.

I'm thinking a month at the most.

Episode 2 started like three months after episode 1 ended.

Has it been winter yet? I recall that being when Shane died.

If it were winter when Shane died, then Rick's group would still be outside Atlanta at this point. In the game it seems like its autumn, but in late-Octover to early-November. Lilly was already making plans for surviving suring the winter right before the bandits raided the motor inn.

Yeah winter will probably play a role in Season 2, cause at this rate I doubt we'll see another time skip, episode 4 probably takes place a day or two after 3, and 5 I can't see it being longer then a week like it was between 2-3.
