Walking Dead for dyslexic players?

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
Hi :)

I've played both Episode 1 and 2, and they are incredible. They're so incredible infact, I want my little brother to play them, but the problem is he's dyslexic. :( So I was wondering if there was a way to disable or slow down the timer on certain dialog options so he has a chance to read them before choosing. He'll be playing them on the PC.

Thanks!

"Little" brother? Be advised that 17 is the absolute minimum age your sibling should play this game!

There's no way to slow down or deactivate the timer as a feature in-game. There are, however, less timed events in episode 2 than in the first.

Yeah.. As said above there is no way to slow it down. I'd suggest just helping your brother through it.

on xbox you can hit the center button to pause during the decisions so you can look over the choices

I once knew an agnostic insomniac with dyslexia, he would lie awake all night wondering if there really was a dog.:D
  • This is an old thread, but I'd like to stress that, if at all possible, this would be a feature that is really appreciated. I know that the time constraint of choices is part of the experience, but surely TellTaleGames didn't mean for the player to not be able to read only 2 of the 3 or 4 options. My girlfriend is dyslexic, and very often cannot read all the options in time.

  • I'm dyslexic and never had difficulty reading the options.
Different degrees of it, I guess.

  • I think the fuse on dialogues makes it more authentic. If we get a question and have no clue how to answer it the person usually would comment that with another question.

  • I don't get it why would you want your younger sibling to play a M rated game? Do your parents know your plans? Or are you the dyslexic one and your to ashamed to say? If not just play a family oriented game with him, actually go outside and play for an hour trust me he'll enjoy that more than any video game.

  • Should also be under avisment that so long as a child under that age of 17 is with an adult or has adult supervision its fine thats how it is every where :D

  • Ever heard of "Parental Supervision"
