So, what if NOBODY knows Lee's secret now? [SPOILERS]

edited July 2012 in The Walking Dead
If you remember, Carley and Larry were the only ones who knew about Lee's secret.

Well Larry's dead, and if you saved Doug, nobody knows.

Except Clementine, who you might not have even told at all.

What do you guys think?

Then when you get to Woodbury, Lee's going to suddenly have to explain why he's not being let inside.

At some point the secret is going to be let out. it's no fun if otherwise.

kenny seems to have a hunch from his 'knock a couple of heads together if he has too' in ep1

and the 'your urban?' in ep2

    so methinks kenny knows

Maybe the new characters in the next episode will know something. You never know.

personally i just hope it remains with carley if you saved her it gives her character a bit more appeal than doug.

if you saved doug then maybe lilly drops a hint but for me i'd rather have the mystery about it than have to be forced on us by some new character who litterally copies larry's hate.. we got enough crazy bat shit going on as it is

Based on episode 3 preview, I get the impression that the group is going to fragment and Lee's "secret" may be what forms the groups. Lee considered telling the group he was a murderer while talking to Carley on the way to the farm. Maybe in episode 3 he lets the cat out of the bag.

    The groups could be:

Those who know Lee is a murderer and are okay with that:
Lee, Clem and Carley. Lee and Clem seen riding in a train but no Carley.

Those who know Lee is a murderer and are not okay with that:
Kenny, Kat, Duck and Ben. All seen in an RV maybe heading to the coast.

The only unknown would be Lilly. I doubt she will go with Kenny. Would she go alone? If Lee sided with her at the pharmacy and tried to help her save her dad at the farm would she go with Lee?

I'd just be honest about it if asked. I've already killed other people, what's one senator?

Same here that what I would do too. However I was was honest with Clem so I will be honest with anyone else that asked as well.

Since in one of my saves I have Carly so she know as well as Clem knows so it not hidden from everyone.

LOL. Yeah but that was before everything went to hell.

It's possible Larry told Lilly at some point before the farm although its unlikely as even if that were the case and she still thinks Lee is a good guy she probably would have struck a dialogue about something like that.

ben is actually in the train car as well a few sec's after clem n lee..

so i wonder at the bit where lilly says one person can't fuck it up for everyone else is the moment lee must choose a side?

true my preview may of been affected by choices..

Lily might know he's a murderer and who knows who new local guys get introduced to story that learn he's a murderer.

Least if you got Carly, she'll back you up "Yea, i knew he was a murderer but he's a good guy!"

I find that VERY likely. Seriously, why wouldn't he?

That's what I thought too. But Lilly makes no reference to it.

Even if you kill her dad she makes no mention of it. If she was gonna say it, or hang it over his head or use it against him, it would have been at that point when she was at her most emotionally unstable.

There are ample reasons not to tell a suspected murderer in his face that you know about his past.

    Uh..Like Carley did.

carley had a gun and clem was behind lee

Did you notice that when she confronted Lee about the truth and was like "don't make me regret this." that lee took a step towards her. I thought that was kinda...intimidating.

    given the topic at hand.

Someone is bound to know across the story, remember that there's more people involved in the story and they might've seen the news or something.
Although, i'm sure they could understand since it was because the senator was sleeping with Lee's wife, maybe Lee's wife will make an appearance.

They are in the area of the prison Lee was going to so someone there must have seen his file also with nothing better to do but survive and gossip I sure the story of the man who killed a senator would be passed around, e.g. I knew his mother, I was a student/tutor at his university as it would have been the last big news story before the world ended.

Let's just say she doesn't handle stress very well. ;)

lee was in a tight spot if carley was going to tell all to the group lee had to show his hand by saying i can take you.. with out your gun your nothing yeah he did show some intimidation there..

Let's just say [Carley] doesn't handle stress very well. ;)

The impression that I got from Carley was that she understood more about Lee's crime than the average person, having followed it from a journalist's perspective. It makes me believe that Lee was probably involved in a crime of passion, as opposed to a cold, calculating murder.

It's also probably why she felt safe in approaching Lee about his past - she doesn't take him to be "dangerous" - but she does give him a warning. And she has the gun, so it would probably be wise for Lee to listen to her advice (not that it matters very long if you choose to save Doug instead of her :)).

I think you guys are all correct. I mean, if Carley knew because of her reporting, definitely someone else could very well know. My Lee 'walker'through is somewhat open and somewhat hesitant about sharing his past. For Clementine, I told her that it was complicated.

LOL. Yeah but that was before everything went to hell.

it was before everything went to hell, but everyone hated congress anyway, so it's ok :p

I think if it comes out, how the rest of the group reacts should be based off your choices in the first two episodes (i.e. - you always backed Kenny, saved Duck, gave his family food, etc, then he won't care about your past as you've already proven you can be trusted; versus you making the opposite choices and Kenny making a big deal about your past when he finds out).
