Tools (spoilers), an important choice?

So, if you recall when we were out by the train, we could choose from three different tools:

A monkey wrench (rusted shut)
A spanner
A spike remover

Do you think this choice has any major impact on what will happen in episode 4 or 5 (since you will be wondering around in sewers according to the 'Around every corner' placeholder).

I went for the spike remover, I figured this unfamiliar looking tool would be the key to removing the train pin, but I was wrong and held on to it anyway.

    It's about the same as with the weapon choices in episode 2. Lee probably doesn't even have the thing any more in episode 4.

    I know you can use it in a few sequences while the train is derailed. But it likely won't matter. But who knows. Why would the devs put 3-4 of the tool that does the same function for just that bit of the story? Wouldn't 1 do the job if that's all it was used for?

    There were like 3 or 4 things you could use on that guy in the barn in ep2 so NO one WOULDN'T do the job.
