For all of you "This is a omg bring Carley back thread" its not. It was me analyzing her death and thinking she may not have died. My personal opinion. If your here trying to fight with carley fanboys about if carley should be brought back then your on the wrong thread.
anything could happen maybe Andrew finds Carley and nurses her back to health by feeding her Danny, she has little memory of what happened except she remember her last seconds before she was shot , Danny convinces her that Lee, Lilly and her entire group are evil so Carley and Andrew go in search of the group with the knowledge of Kenny's plan that Mark so helpfully mentioned as his legs were being sawn off.
So + 1 for the New Vegas Reference, - 2 for not referencing the Walking Dead comic book character that actually survived a bullet to the head...
Sorry, but Carley isn't being rushed to a Dr. with modern medical equipment (from what I recall) like the character in the comics. She was left for what she is, dead.
It scrapped her left cheek, she can still come back if Telltale is willing to let her do so.
If you keep Lily with you in the RV, you see carleys (death? alive?) body next to the dead walker just sitting there with no walkers in the backround coming towards the RV or the bodies....

Depends of Telltale, still people can no longer say she got shot straight through the brain or in the eye -_-
I wish such an opportunity had been programmed in. If Lee/player had a brief reaction time scene, and the player/lee managed to just reach her arm before the shot was fired, it would have influenced the aim between her brain, and her cheek for example. She may still have collapsed and therefore out of the game, but at least the chances for her survival would have increased.
It scrapped her. She is now scrap. Scraps of human flesh, where a living person once was. Scrap that isn't any longer alive and cannot be retconned back into life.

Possible, but highly unlikely. A set of highly improbable circumstances have to occur for there to be any chance. But considering the nature of the series, I can't see them making a comeback, as much as I would like them to.

I think it's great to support a character and it would've been a good tribute page if it wasn't stating "SAVE Carley". You do realize you're demanding a retcon so you can be pleased right?

From a story standpoint, the love of my virtual zombie-survival life will not come back. She got shot in the face by Lilly in the most shockingly sudden way imaginable.
What I'm hoping for is a chance to actually mourn her death in Episode 4. Seems to me Lee's a under-reacting, near-heartless, sex-driven guy. The only thing he can say is "Yeah, I was fond of her..." or "Carley didn't have to die, you know?".

Who knows? Maybe they might patch Episode 3 with new options to save her? Or more likely, Lee will mourn his potential love interest properly once he's off that damn locomotive!

No one would deny a real life death would be a lot more painful, but it would also be easier to accept. If a real life friend died, then that person would be dead no question. As for a video game, any outcome is possible. And so long as that possibility exists, so does the discussion around it. I know given the nature of the series a resurrection is seriously unlikely, though.

What I am trying to say there is no ambiguity in a real-life death. Once a person is dead, that person is dead. With a video game anything is possible. And with that in mind; it is why there is all this discussion that Carley may still be alive despite it looking pretty obvious her gunshot wound was fatal.

Exactly, game devs can patch EP.3 or make it possible in EP.4 for her to live. Its why people complain and are hurt by Carleys death. As for real life, you can't send an angry note to Death for not letting your relative live longer simply because that's not possible, and theres literally nothing you can do to change it -_-.

Carley's death was just.. to fast!! Fuck! Fucking Ben, and Lilly, at least she have "some motives" (She was very fucked up since Larry's death) but damn.. What IF I say yes to go with her in the RV? xS

Some things made to sense to me in this episode. Lilly shooting Carly out of an argument just like that. It seemed so over the top.
I could go either way, there were things I liked and disliked about Carley's death. I liked how they made it happen out of nowhere by having Lilly snap. Other characters were alluding to her snapping earlier in the episode. I didn't like how it seemed like a cop-out to write less story.
Don't knock the people who want her back in the game, if you say "SHE'S DEAD, SHE CAN'T COME BACK!" you clearly haven't played many video games. Remember the Dead Rising DLC; Off the Record?
They definitely can bring Carley back by doing as little as adding a new option in her final conversation to open up a new story route. If they do, I don't see it happening until the first season is finished.

It make sense to screw with you. When you see popping in up, you don't think that carley will be killed 10 seconds later. You think it will have consequences, the argument will go on later and so on.
If you would have supported her and NOTHING would pop up, then you would know something is up.
But it was the way with Carley in Episode 1, she could remember something and be killed off 5-10 Minutes later.
Well, Shawn also remembers, as walkers are eating his intestines, that you either killed a walker with a shotgun or "bashed a poor girls brains in".
I would not like Carley to return from the gun shoot, I'd more prefer after episode 5 they add a secondary playtrough mode. Some minor changes that still leads to the major plot of the game, one of these preferable being saving Carley or Doug again in episode 3.
