Clem doesn't say "you can't tell me what to do" in a rude way, she sounds kind of sad when she says it. Also, what does Kenny say when you tell him you are going your own way?

Kenny says "what the f*** does that mean?" facial expression = priceless.
It is interesting that Lee tells Kenny he will be alright and that Omid and Christa can choose their own way. No mention of Ben or Charles.
I'm surprised so many people said find her parents. Realistically, they're dead, and searching for them is searching for a needle in a haystack, dead or alive.
Well if you think about the original source material for the walking dead which is the comics and even consider the tv series Rick did the same thing. It was a long shot, for him leaving Kentucy on horseback to search Atlanta city for his wife and son. It was his hope that drove him and he found Glenn who happended to have banded with a group of survivors including Rick's wife and son who were the last to make it to Atlanta which was believed at the time to be a safe zone and later Rick went back to where his journey began and found his friend Morgan where he had left him still alive after many months. In Lee's story it has only been around 3 months since the apocalypse (which is the time it takes for Glen to meet Rick in the comics)so it is just as feasible that Clementine's mother is alive as it was that Rick's wife and son were alive in the outskirts of Atlanta and his friend Morgan who would have been towns away from the city where Ricks journey began.
I think with those considerations, Lee's chances of finding Clementines mother alive are 50/50 it will come down to Telltale's writers at the end of the day as to what ending they want for Clementine, bearing in mind she is a much loved character I wouldn't be surprised if Telltale were to cut her a break and reunite her with her mother in the way Kirkman reunited Rick with his wife and son. In the comics it isn't always doom and gloom other wise no one would read them. Every now and then Rick's group get a break and find temporary places of refuge and weeks of peace and celebration.
i know right? maybe people just want satisfy her lol
If Morgan had told Rick in the comics which is the influence behind this game, that his wife was dead and he wouldn't find her then there would be no walking dead series, no comics, no show, no game or anything. Ricks story would have ended in one comic because he would have committed suicide. It's his hope of his wife and son that kept him going. Morgan probably didn't expect Rick to find them but he wouldn't want to dampen Ricks spirit. If that's what it takes to keep someone going you tell them reassuring things like "they probably heared the radio broadcast warning and went to the safe zone" or "i'm sure their fine" The survivors are of more use to the overal group when their morale is high and they have hope otherwise they become wreckless, suicidal and put the rest of the group at risk like Allen was after his wife died in the comic. The group is as strong as it's weakest link if a character abandons hope and the others see this they will panic and break down. Often the ones that are pesemistic are kept away from the larger group so they don't scare the others with negitive remarks like how their all gonna die or that their not gonna make it.
I told her we should leave the group because Kenny's going to snap and I don't want to see Ben,Omid or Christa to have the same fate as carley or Doug.

Ummm.. Didn't Kenny bring up the boat before we even started staying at the inn??
Besides the inn was Kenny's idea to begin with. He thought staying there was a good idea, at first anyway.
